Just thinking out loud and seeing what others opinions are...

With the CDC updating mask recommendations for fully vaccinated people privately gathering....
Do we think by summer the recommendations will be completely gone?
And if that's the case since Disney is basing their requirements off CDC guidelines do we think mask requirements will be gone at Disney come summer?

Its truly the main thing holding me back from going as I just don't know if I can handle it especially with the glasses fogging situation.

I think if there is one its going to happen after Easter which is in April and I'm guessing would linger into May...
Is going to just a bump or is not going to be fourth wave because vaccines. Most people are getting vaccines in next month and May also Memorial Day weekend. So there may be not fourth wave at all.

It depends on those who are not yet or will not be vaccinated and how well the vaccines work against the new variants.
If a ton of non vaccinated people gather together or vaccinated people but a variant that does not play the by the rules is involved we could see more of a spike than bump. And it seems to take quite some time to level off as we learned from Christmas.

Yeah by Spring Break and Easter, there may be not be spike or not because many people are getting vaccines before Easter.

There are too many variable to know for sure what's going to happen.

Lifting of COVID protocols will only happen when death and hospitalization rates go down real low and stay down.

We *guess* that plentiful access to vaccines will make that happen for all adults by mid-May (allowing for the second dose and two week follow-up).

But children still need to have the vaccine approved for them. Tho, once it is, there will be a stockpile ready to jab them all.

And surprise variants that dodge our current vaccines may arise. And may be even more contagious or deadly.

Thus: no one know when 'normal' happen. There are only best-case guesses and worst-case guesses. We have to wait to see what the vaccination program produces.

Although Easter is an important holiday, especially from a religious perspective, I don't think it comes close to culturally being the same event that Thanksgiving and Christmas are. I doubt you are going to see the kind of large gatherings on a widespread basis that we saw during that November/December period. Between that and the fact that we are really ramping up vaccines, I'm hopeful that any spike we see would be minor and not actually represent a fourth wave.
