"Negotiations are currently underway for additional refurbishment of the Country Bear Jamboree, including replacement of the Beulah animatronic, which is supposedly responsible for 95 percent of the attraction's problems requiring shutdowns."

who knew one silly little animatronic could be such trouble?

I am glad to hear this because the bears really need a rehab

My order of necessary refurbs at MK would be:

1. Haunted Mansion
2. Space Mountain
3. Country Bears
4. The Jungle Cruise
5. Put in the new speaker system DL got for Pirates

Let's hope this is right. No matter if you like the attraction or not, if they're going to keep it there, they do need to keep it in good shape. As for me, I think the CBJ is one of the best things about the MK and I hope it gets the TLC it needs so badly.

Last 3 times I went, it hasn't been open, so I haven't seen the show in about 4 years. I really wish that they would get the thing working on a consistent basis!

My top 5 refurbs.

1. The Haunted Mansion (needs new effects, new sound, and a better ride system (smoother) I want to feel like I'm a ghost "floating" through the mansion)
2. Country Bear Jamboree (It's in bad need of some serious repair)
3. Snow White's Scary Adventures (Completely redo this...it's horrible. Way too scary for the little ones and not really a "story" for the older ones)
4. Peter Pan's Flight (Update the animatronics to the next gen ones. and fix the sound)
5. The Jungle Cruise (I love this attraction...fix the animatronics, add some more and come up with some new jokes)

I'm really excited about this. I love this ride and think it's been left out of the rehab plans for too many years. The attraction needs first and foremost a better sound system so you can actually hear the bears. I think one major reason people don't clap along is because when they do, they can't hear the bears sing.

Secondly would be the animatronics. And lastly would be possibly adding a few more modern country songs, while still leaving the staples of what make the show famous. Country has come a long way since then and is wildly popular. A few recent country classics would work wonders I think.....just not Achy Breaky Heart.

That would be very cool. Get some of the country stars to redo some of the CBJ classics; add in some actual classic original country tunes. That could make for a very neat show and a nice draw without damaging what the classic was meant to be.

This rumor has been around for a while. This rehab was supposedly one of the reasons why the holiday version did not get added this year. I would expect CBR to close by mid year for some well need TLC.

I wish they would waste less time trying to agree on an order for these refurbishments and more time actually doing them. This is prime off-season right now that they are wasting away in favor of a summer closing of an E-Ticket...makes tons of sense. The parks are empty and all that is closed right now is Pooh and the Speedway at the MK while they close a massive people-eater in the summer? So much politics...I say play a few games of Rock, Paper, Scissors; winner gets refurbished first. Or go all Dungeons and Dragons and flip a D4. No, I did not just make a DnD reference :lookaroun
