Pre-Trip Counting down for our WDW trip in October

Hi All,

First who are we? Michel, Ria and Sacha. True Disney lovers for years and since 2006 annual pass holders for DLP and also shareholders for DLP since 2 years! We go to DLP about 4 times a year. Sometimes just a short weekend trip, sometimes longer. You can find some TR from our DLP trips the last 2 years (see signature) and photo's of earlier trips to DLP (also link in signature).

Sacha in DLP last Christmas.

The feeling that we are going to WDW for real is getting better and better! And now it's time to share that feeling with you all.

Off course as true Disney lovers WDW was on our wishlist for years! And this year it is finally going to happen. I was there before when I was 18, so almost 24 years ago!

Next Saturday we are going to book our trip! We probably will stay in a villa with two cars (we are going with friends). We will be in USA from October 17th until October 24th. Just 7 days, but I bet the 7 days will be marvelous. The plan is to go to WDW for 4 days and 2 days to Universal. We need to ride the Harry Potter attraction ;).

And Sacha is determining to ride Despicable Me and buy a minion as big as she can find :)

Much more to come about our pretrip feelings and counting down.

So far the report... and I'll leave you with some pictures we are dreaming on to see live :)

And hey the most important one.... can't imagine how the feeling will be when riding the road on the next picture!

I am so excited for you! We have something in common...both staying in villas in Kissimmee! I haven't been to WDW in so long...I almost feel like it's my first time. We aren't planning too much either. We know what parks are on what days, but we are just going to go with the flow. I'm like you....anxiously counting down, but then again, I don't want it to come and go and then be over! Enjoy these days of trip report reviews, checklists and excitement. I cannot wait to hear all about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the excitement :) Same for me! Nice that you also stay in a villa, although the feeling when staying onsite probably is even greater :) A lot of people here are planning day by day and where en when to eat! We go with the flow as well :) And I know exactly what you mean.... on one hand we want it to be October and on the other hand... please go slow..... because it will be over before you know it :)And I cannot wait to hear from your side how your trip went..... when is your trip??

De Efteling looks lovely! Thanks for sharing the photos!

Yes, it reminds me a lot of Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Virginia. It has a European fairy tale theme too, with the darker fairy tales like the Big Bad Wolf that Disney does not do as much. Better than a basic Six Flags but not as great as Disney obviously.

We are staying in one in Lindfield Reserves. How about you?

We are staying with Hotel Orlando Vacation Resort. We are with 7 people and have a 5 room villa. The address is W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, although I guess we get the key there and then somewhere in that area a villa :)

I've been in Bush Gardens in Florida more than 24 years ago ao I can't remember much! You are completely right about the fairy tale theme. Efteling is beautifull but like I said it can't compete with Disney. And a couple of attractions are similar like Disney attractions. Piranha = Kali River Rapids, Fata Morgana = POC, Carnaval Festival = Small World, Monsieur Cannibale = Mad Hatter Teacups..... but the faity tale forrest is unique just like the flying Dutchman :)

Almost just 193 days left for our arrival at WDW! Yesterday we had a day full with fun in a Dutch attraction called 'De Efteling'. Also a theme park with fairytales and a lot of similarities with DLP. Visit the website for more information: De Efteling. Here some pictures of attractions:

A part of the efteling is the so called 'Sprookjesbos' (Fairy Tail forrest). Inside you find a lot of buildings about fairy's. This one is 'Hans en Grietje' (Hans and Gretchel).

We also have the same ! Writing a TR is bringing back the great feelings! Most of the time Ria and Sacha do the pictures and movies...... And afterwards I will do the TR! So next October and probably November will be TR TIME..... Thinking about that is not good lol..... Means we are back by then ;)

haha exactly that's the only bad part, they are fun to write but then that means you're already back! We won't think about that part ;)
