Pre-Trip Counting down for our WDW trip in October

Hi All,

First who are we? Michel, Ria and Sacha. True Disney lovers for years and since 2006 annual pass holders for DLP and also shareholders for DLP since 2 years! We go to DLP about 4 times a year. Sometimes just a short weekend trip, sometimes longer. You can find some TR from our DLP trips the last 2 years (see signature) and photo's of earlier trips to DLP (also link in signature).

The feeling that we are going to WDW for real is getting better and better! And now it's time to share that feeling with you all.

Off course as true Disney lovers WDW was on our wishlist for years! And this year it is finally going to happen. I was there before when I was 18, so almost 24 years ago!

Next Saturday we are going to book our trip! We probably will stay in a villa with two cars (we are going with friends). We will be in USA from October 17th until October 24th. Just 7 days, but I bet the 7 days will be marvelous. The plan is to go to WDW for 4 days and 2 days to Universal. We need to ride the Harry Potter attraction ;).

And Sacha is determining to ride Despicable Me and buy a minion as big as she can find :)

So here some more news :)

The last two days I was busy to make a day by day calander for the countdown to October 17th :) 260 nights sleep from today. So a day a page with a picture from WDW... Every day a different picture :)

And we got the message from travel agency that the two cars are also there. We will drive to Ford Escape SUV's :)

For the rest still feeling marvelous that it really is going to happen! 9 hours in a plane and then touching ground in Orlando, Florida :)

Awesome! Good for you. You look totally pumped in the photos where you're booking your trip, who wouldn't be!!!???

Our current plan is to be in the World from September 26th - October 3rd at the Poly but some parts of that may change, mainly where we are staying, We had to put a new furnace in and that may hamper our ability to stay at a deluxe.

Ohw yeah I was totally pumped!! And still am, but like you said, who wouldn't be! LOL!

Poly sounds nice, that's on my wish list for future trips, cause as you can imagine, after there October trip, there will be much more to come!

Think your nuts .. we booked 11 months out for BLT (renting DVC points for the first time) for Oct 4/11. (247 days to go !) Hope you get all your bookings you want (Dining) ... Enjoy !

People just say we are nuts .. but I tell them if you do NOT plan then you will not get what you want. We have a whiteboard up and are working on each day .. See we are nuts !

Not much to tell so far.... just counting down the days.... and they go slow... LOL.... Today just 36 weeks to go!! so just 252 night of sleep left :)

Yet another short update. Since it will be the first far holiday in years we need new suitcaes. We found some great ones for a decent prize. Last weekend we thought, well let's see them 'live' in the shop and after buy them online (much cheaper). And the girl in the shop said, "hey before buying these suitcases be sure that your airline allowes them to take, because the major Dutch airline (KLM) does not allow them in standard rates. The suitcases are too big. They allow only suitcases below or maximum 158 cm (length+with+height). And these suitcases are 168 cm. You have to pay at least 150 € per person per flight".

After getting home we checked our airline (Arke Fly) and they have the same rule. Lucky that we didn't bought the suitcaes yet! They also have a little smaller one at exactly 158 cm. So it will be the smaller ones.

For the rest still the same here. Counting down to October 17th and in the meantime read as much TR's here as possible :) So keep on posting!! And for us just 234 night of sleep :)

Hej, probably not, off course we have to save as much as we can because we will buy WDW empty in October :) Maybe we will do a short DLP trip in summer.... but nothing for sure now.... in the meantime just following all the TR en PTR's :)

We just got back and I want to go again! I am hoping we can go again February 2015 or April 2015. That is my goal right now. I actually looked into a solo trip in September 2014. I am still considering it. I don't know if I can wait until next year.

I guess we are even more excited than you.... And we have to wait for soooooo long ;) 216 nights......

Not dumb, since the English drive left and they are quite close by ;) but we drive on the right! And I am not the one driving ;) A lot of first times for my wife (and daugther ;)) First long flight for Ria (2nd time on a plane, first time was to a U2 show in Dublin.... So take off... 40 min flight and landing..... First flight for Sacha, first time WDW for Ria and Sacha ;) and for Ria first drive in States ;)

And your trip was magical ;) you have a great TR! Going back in 2015 is great ;) and considering a solo trip is nice ;) I would never do that..... And even thinking about it would give a big fight with Ria and Sacha ;) LOL!

We are lucky we go to DLP a couple of times a year but you can't compare it with WDW!!

I mentioned going solo to Maddie last night and she was not happy about that thought either. Looks like 2015 it is! Let the countdown begin!
