YEAH!!!!!! In exactly a week, I'm outta here and heading to WDW! I leave tuesday after school, then, since we are driving, we will get there late Wednesday. I join up with my band on Sunday. Then, one day of Universal, and the rest at WDW. We march on Monday, so if you are there come watch. We're the Lakeshore Lancer Marching Band. I'll be the clarinet in the first row farthest the the left, if you look at the band as if it were comming at you. I'm soooooo excited!

Have fun! I'm jealous though. My high school band was supposed to go last February, but because of 9-11, the district banned all out of country trips and any that involved flying. We were supposed to fly and when that was announced, the trip was cancelled cuz the directors didn't want to spend 24 hours on a bus with 100 teenagers. Instead we got to go to Cleveland.

    Your band director should take lesson's from mine, my director is taking 200 on a 26 hour bus ride. LOL. Next year, when the band goes to D.C. for some special thing, they will have 10 busses of people. 4 of just band kids lol

Have fun and good luck. Every year our DARE program takes 60 busloads to Yankee Stadium...Usually well over 3,000 people make the trip from our district (some drive their own cars). 200 is a small group! Let us know how you made out when you get back.

He really should. Although I'm not in the band anymore so it doesn't affect me. If he would have taken the marching band it would have been 230, but he was only going to take a select few so only 100 were allowed. He annouced we'd be going to Celveland and ended up with only one busload of kids, so about 60 of us went. He did take 100 of us to England on a plane in 2000. I don't see the difference between an 8 hour plane flight and 26 hours on a bus. You can stop the bus and get out if you need a break, but you can't stop a plane!
