Living in a more rural area of Illinois, the restrictions are there for sure, the region I live in had mitigations implemented a few weeks ago, but there are a lot of people who are taking no notice. Many restaurants are staying open, bars, etc. As a teacher, I'm very careful, but I worry that some families may not be taking this as seriously as the current situation warrants. I do have to say that mask compliance by the kids has been great. Social distancing is a little more challenging, but also better than I expected (for the most part). But numbers in our area are soaring. My first thought when I read that post was Illinois, they are still on pretty strong restrictions and are getting absolutely destroyed right now.
When I voted today, one of the election workers, an older lady, had her mask under her chin and was talking nonstop to the people around her.
