Now COVID is going around my house. Everyone has it...except me because I had it back in February. It's been a fun game of "Is this COVID or allergies" though.
Daughter just tested positive today. Got it from work, all of whom are vaccinated. Coughing and locked in her room the last 2 days, tested each day with finally getting the second stripe today. I'm at a hotel the next 2 days.

Looks like the pandemic of the vaccinated.

You know what's funny?

Testing is a waste now...stay home when you're sick..move on....

The above isn't a shot at you or your daughter, I am sorry she isn't feeling well. But why are you staying at a hotel?

Back in the day I liked going to Bath & Body Works in the mall test sampling all the flavors including hand sanitizer.
Pre-pandemic, I was a hand sanitizer nut, especially when I worked in the office. Everyone knew that if you needed hand sanitizer, you could just come on over to my desk and there was a giant bottle there for you. That was in addition to washing my hands every hour or so.

And then when we would go to WDW, inevitably, I'd forget my tiny bottle of hand sanitizer, so I'd buy a new one when we were there. This resulted a collection of mini bottles of hand sanitizer from WDW.

When the pandemic hit and there was the hand sanitizer shortage, I had a couple of giant bottles of hand sanitizer stocked away. We ended up telling people to come on over and refill their hand sanitizer bottles as needed.

At my work we ended up making our own. They had the recipes going around. We ordered gallons of the alcohol, the aloe gel and scents to put in them. We had a ton of the stuff. Someone knocked over one of the gallons of the aloe gel the floor became a slippery mess. It was hysterical watching people try to walk across the floor with out busting their a**.

To go into the hand santizer. I used them some when my kid was little. One the playground if hands got super dirty it was better than wipes to remove physical dirt. I rarely used them otherwise. I prefer hand washing or using wipes when possible. I'll likely always be that way.

Kid is off to DC tomorrow, bright and early. I'm honestly grateful for an ability to be more normal now. I know some still worry a lot, but my kid is 14, boosted and if he catches covid, thanks to age and vaccines chances are he'll be back for his last day of school no issues. It's been tough on kids who know what is supposed to be. This is the first DC trip they are taking since 2019 as the 2020 was canceled on them (2021 never made it to planning stages).

PSA:

"Americans can once again order free COVID-19 tests from the federal government by visiting COVIDtests.gov. In this round, the U.S. Postal Service will deliver eight free rapid antigen tests to any household in the U.S. that wants them, according to the website. That brings to sixteen the total tests offered per household so far."

They really should give tests that can be supervised virtually so we could have more trust that people are testing correctly and so that there would be a written record. There are many cases where a person needs documentation.

You can.....for a price.

Ihealth tests, the free ones from the government, can be proctored through telehealfh for $24.99. if you're traveling this one is acceptable and the service all in is cheaper than the Binax now test (which is closer to $30 or 33).

A lot of counties in WI have hit the yellow or medium category according to the CDC, and the County and State DHHS have started recomending masks indoors again. I wonder what WDW will do if/when Orange Co hits that level and recomends masks indoors? Leave things as they are or bring back indoor masks?

Santize in the office continually is a good idea. Pre covid, when I used to clean the shared computer keyboards prior to me logging onto one, the cloth I used turned black from all the filthy germs I wiped from the keyboard, and the ear wax scum from other co workers from the telephone handle.

Nothing. They weren't even recommended to drop when they did. Yellow doesn't actually mean all are recommended to mask either. Just at risk

Good catch. I didn't see that. I wonder what Demmings will do? Probably nothing.....meaning WDW will probably only consider masks if Orange Co hit red, or high.
