Well don’t forget children’s gas masks in WW2 were based on Mickey Mouse

"Contractors" are DOD/government employees who's companies work on military contracts. If you salary is paid for by a government contract, they you are a contractor. Example, SRC, SAIC, Boeing, Leidos, Lockheed Martin, Goodwill (yup.. Goodwill).
So maybe, work at Cummins and supply engines but our whole factory isn't based on that. We'd lose a ton of ppl before they would agree to vaccinate or test daily.

I'm not customer-facing and my company collectively decided that cameras are awkward, so I turn it on once a month when I have my new hire training class. Our company's dress code is non-existent, so usually my trainees will catch me in a random t-shirt. On Mondays, I have a Monsters Inc shirt that says "Mondays Scare Me".
Where I drew the line is when I finally had to go into the office a month ago to get something out of my seldom used cubicle. Dude was walking around in our section in shorts, a Hawaiian shirt (gov contractor office BTW), and no shoes. I could forgive dude man the shorts and Hawaiian shirt in the office, but I do not need you pacing outside my cubicle loudly on your phone conference without shoes man... Put on your shoes!

Really, I think it would depend on who is "direct" task and who isn't. So for example, if you just build Cummins engines, and then sell them to anyone, including the government, you aren't really a government contractor. "Contractors" are those who have to normally fill out strict timesheets with specific codes and they know they are working on a US Government contract.

Anyone who charges their labor hours to the government through an invoice is considered a Contractor. Basically, regardless if you work for Cummings, does Cummings invoice your 80 hours to Uncle Sam and have Uncle Sam pay your salary in the end? If so, you are direct and this would probably apply to you if they go through with it. Big if there. I work for a government contractor. 100% of all our work is on government contracts. Other than some minor corporate positions, 90% of our work is billed to the government per hour on our invoices. Goodwill has contracts on base to provide janitorial services. For every hour their employee works, they bill the government for the service. That Goodwill janitorial employee is a government contractor.

If however, Cummings pays for all of your hours, and they bake the cost of manufacturing into the cost of the engine, then sell the engine to the US Government, it is more procurement and indirect. In that case, these rules would probably not apply.

Tomorrow mandates everywhere can go into effect.

The non vaccinated will wake up and continue to not care or alter their lives in any way.

Stores by me will not enforce any mandates they don’t want the confrontations.

Police won’t do anything.

Disney will be one of the few places where this is actually enforced.

For the rest of the unvaccinated it’s business as usual.

If I'm home, I'm in PJs. Pretty standard for me even before the pandemic except when we had people over.

ETA: Most of them don't LOOK like PJs though...some could easily pass for sweatpants and/or workout clothes.
If I'm home then I've got a vacation day put in. There have been a few critical meetings I've had to Zoom for an hours or so, but they also know not to expect work uniform. I switched to a hurricane one for a meeting while we were on vacation in FL last month. We all do random things. Heck a poor guy had his toddler one day that kept wanting to interrupt, so we told dad to just set him up there too.

NICE! And yes - better to set the toddler up with his own little work-space and distractions!

An aside story to make you smile! My Mum was a child in WW2 and they had to wear a gas mask for 2 hours every day at school to prepare them in case they were ever needed! The lessons she hated masking for were traditional Ancient Greek dancing and chanting time tables which she later said sounded like Klingon and gobbledygook at the time! How the education system has changed!
Shockingly the main filter was asbestos- though the dangers of that product weren’t known at the time. This was her normal throughout the war.

Wow compare that to the struggles of getting a safe , free and easily accessible vaccine!

Interesting observation I just heard about the Scotland and UK data. Scotland end of school year, June 25, UK end of School year, July 21st.
What are you inferring from that observation ?

Do you think it’s possible school and case numbers had a link?

the euros with mass comings together and home parties more significant than schools I feel in terms of upward acceleration - for example, in Scotland it was almost 1:1 in terms of gender for positive tests - that went up to 9 times more males than females getting the virus during their time in the euros - cases declined sharply after abs went back down to 1:1 - this is the same in england. Alcohol plus football plus england winning games was a lethal combination in terms of covid spread

Unless you’re frequenting Disney weekly, this should be a non issue for you then 👍

there was a link but possibly not as much as people think - our case numbers were much much higher in the 20-35 age groups mainly due to increased socialisation and as I said above - the football.

One betraying observation is that for a long period of time we had masks in secondary schools but not primary - primary schools had far less spread still perhaps suggesting younger children are less susceptible to transmission and spread

Absolutely- every increase in cases in England has increased when children are at school and receded when they are not. Not only children being infected but taking it home to relatives, carrying it on public transport, parents waiting in playgrounds etc. This has not been investigated enough in my opinion.
