Can’t believe we’re debating whether education makes a person smarter, but here we are.
Yeah, the funny part is it all started with a simple comment from someone on whether education played a part in level of acceptance of the vaccine, but the demographic data from the survey didn’t show a large disparity anyway. Somehow that turned into a bunch of people saying having a college degree doesn’t make you smarter which was never the topic anyway.

Lol. “The topic” is Coronavirus and Disney World. This thread hasn’t stayed on topic in a while :-p

But yes the original intent was don’t assume college educated means you are on a particular side. College Educated means red and blue!

There was, but then some celebrities got busted and now I think one of them is in jail :)
One of my favorite equity Ben lines ever during Frozsn Sing along.

Lisa - “Did you sleep through all of Arrendale History 101”?
Ben - “yes. But my daddy paid a lot of money so I graduated anyways.”
Audience - Applauds
Ben - “thank you”

Some of the wealthiest and most successful people don't have a piece of paper. There is nothing wrong with having a unique skill set or being an entrepreneur.

You’re shocking me here...seriously. Never would have guessed you’d say that. 🤞🏻

There’s value in a broad, liberal arts education though. It’s the education that is invaluable, not the paper.

Does that LA education include reading comprehension?? Because I’ve had to clarify things I didn’t say or even hint to support at least a few teams from other already...and the night is so young.

It's not that valuable if it doesn't pay the bills.
And often one of those bills is a large college loan. This is the biggest reason I've never told my kids they HAVE to attend college to be successful (as was assumed by/taught to my generation), only that they cannot stop learning after high school - trade school, internships, anything else. The amount of debt these students finish their degrees with is often staggering and disturbing.
