my god.
But hell those student loans make the whole thing an economic ball and chain....The process of getting a piece teaches you discipline, cognitive reasoning and exposes you to differences in ideas and biology.
The piece is worthless...the process is invaluable.

Some of the wealthiest and most successful people don't have a piece of paper. There is nothing wrong with having a unique skill set or being an entrepreneur. The process of getting a piece teaches you discipline, cognitive reasoning and exposes you to differences in ideas and biology.

There’s value in a broad, liberal arts education though. It’s the education that is invaluable, not the paper. Some of the wealthiest and most successful people don't have a piece of paper. There is nothing wrong with having a unique skill set or being an entrepreneur.
Can’t believe we’re debating whether education makes a person smarter, but here we are. There’s value in a broad, liberal arts education though. It’s the education that is invaluable, not the paper.
Who’s debating that? Can’t believe we’re debating whether education makes a person smarter, but here we are.
I would say that education makes a person better educated and hopefully more well-rounded. Smarter, not necessarily. Can’t believe we’re debating whether education makes a person smarter, but here we are.
Who’s debating that?
Or maybe a piece of paper dosen't inherently make you smarter.
Yeah, the funny part is it all started with a simple comment from someone on whether education played a part in level of acceptance of the vaccine, but the demographic data from the survey didn’t show a large disparity anyway. Somehow that turned into a bunch of people saying having a college degree doesn’t make you smarter which was never the topic anyway. Can’t believe we’re debating whether education makes a person smarter, but here we are.
There was, but then some celebrities got busted and now I think one of them is in jailIs there another way to get a college degree?
Lol. “The topic” is Coronavirus and Disney World. That is a matter of opinion. It's not that valuable if it doesn't pay the bills. There’s value in a broad, liberal arts education though. It’s the education that is invaluable, not the paper.

And often one of those bills is a large college loan. This is the biggest reason I've never told my kids they HAVE to attend college to be successful (as was assumed by/taught to my generation), only that they cannot stop learning after high school - trade school, internships, anything else. The amount of debt these students finish their degrees with is often staggering and disturbing. It's not that valuable if it doesn't pay the bills.

no surprise. Can’t believe we’re debating whether education makes a person smarter, but here we are.
Does having a degree make you arrogant? Sorry couldn't resist.I have lots of “opinions”...but I’m trying to respect everyone’s (at least for today) and not dismiss/downtalk...
I invite everyone to join me.
