On another topic, I'm still trying to figure out what type of face covering will be good for July in Orlando. Any recommendations? I'm leaning towards the blue disposable ones right now. Actually in stock on Amazon when I checked today.
Do they make one with AC? ;)

I have heard good things about the under armor ones made specifically for athletes to wear while working out if you are going to be wearing it for hours on end. I think they are pretty hard to get now.

The neck gaiter was designed for fisherman in hot sunny climates. Here in the Keys, we have been using them for years. Much more comfortable than masks, light and breathable. You want to buy one from a company that markets to fisherman, then you know you get the light weight breathable fabric.

I’m always confused as to where this place is that gives the impression the employees make conscious effort to enforce the rules...

I’m at the Walt Disney world resort more times Than I care to admit...and it sure the hell isnt there.
They enforce rules when they come to safety. You can’t talk your way into bringing a gun or knife into the parks, you can’t climb a fence and walk under a coaster track without getting removed, you can’t get drunk and climb the Mexico pyramid at EPCOT (I assume that guy was arrested). If they treat capacity limits and masks and spacing as a safety measure it should and will be enforced. If they want to include keeping extra people out of the resorts is another question. There’s no guarantee they will do that, but IMHO they should if there is any chance that a paying guest won’t get to use the amenities.

Big ifs there...Conflict breeds declines in spending, and the front lines don’t get paid enough to get chewed out...

Just my experience.

We know there’s a completely insane divide on what’s “needed” during this time already...so I hope I’m just a pessimist.

Are cloth masks washable in warm water? I like to wash newly purchased clothes and certainly wouldn't want to pop a mask right on my face from a store.

I guess we will see. So far at DS the majority of unbiased reports I’ve seen are that they are “no exception“ with the rules when getting in with temp checks and masks. Lots of stories of people with excuses to not comply but they are shutting them down. I hope that they take the same approach to the parks. I’m sure they will.

I believe the Star Wars stormtroopers are even get in the act encouraging the guests to wear the masks while waving their firearms in the air.

I’m sure mask enforcement inside the parks will be difficult. Outside of that it should be much easier to keep people physically distant in queues and on rides, keep tables 6 feet apart in restaurants, keep capacity lower overall including the buses, boats and monorails and enforce the temp and mask checks at the front gates. All of that should be pretty strictly followed. In addition they can/would make CMs follow all the required rules on masks and distancing themselves. The overall plan is pretty robust and masks is only a small part of the big picture. I’m sure we will see social media posts of the “gotcha” pictures of someone not wearing a mask somewhere in the parks as evidence that the rules aren’t being followed, but there’s a lot of other stuff that goes into this.

I think that’s a totally different animal...
Rides would be the animal

I'm trying to understand the uneven application of privacy laws in Florida. We will hear about a small bar called out by name for having an outbreak but nothing has been reported about issues at Universal Studios. That would be hard to cover up anyway but no mention of outbreaks there. It would be a shame to take any rise in numbers as evidence that cautious businesses need to stop operating. It makes no sense and would be baseless unless they can demonstrate a risk there.
