I have a question. Why is the top graph show positives at 6563, but the bottom right shows 7520? I've never quite understood why those numbers are never matching.

I think the larger number includes people who already tested positive. So if you were sick last week but are feeling better and get another test because you want to know if you still have the virus then you aren't a new case but you are a positive test.

Blah. Same crap. And that positivity rate is still nasty.

Yeah, its not good, but things aren't going to change drastically 1 day at a time. The slight positive you can take is that the week-over-week numbers for yesterday aren't as bad as they were for Sunday/Monday. So maybe that's a start of a trend int he right direction. (That's a pretty big stretch to see a positive, admittedly.)

Yeah! Go team opening during a resurgence of a pandemic against the advice of all public health officials and experts because we wanna work out and not listen to the government.

Only in America...

I'm pretty sure they are referring to the parks specifically in this case. But either way, it is time to open up more businesses with precautions. As long as masks and physical distancing rules are in place.

NYC is halting the reopening of indoor dining that was supposed to start on July 6th.

Not sure why they were trying to open so close to the timeline of less affected states. They have so much more to lose from a surge and far less defense in NYC.

Agreed 100%. Let's open up with mandatory masks and distancing. They were referring to gyms, which are difficult to wear a mask in, and which may not be the best idea.

You do have to wear a mask except when doing cardio. Everything is six feet apart and bleach wipes are available to wipe down equipment. It's safer than going to Wal-Mart I can assure you of that.

I am definitely going to stay away from gyms for a while myself but I do think there could be potential ways for them to open relatively safely. If people are cool with working out in a mask, then I say go for it.

Promise, I did a search here before asking. I even searched the Florida Governor and state websites several times before searching here. I am having a hard time finding the answer to my question. Maybe I am just missing it.

Background: I live in upstate SC (Greenville specifically). The wife and I were watching a DFB video the other day. It mentioned the Florida travel ban (the 14 quarantine of persons coming from specific locations with lots of Covid-19 positive tests). We both heard it mentioned that South Carolina was on the list. We backed up the video to make sure we heard it accurately and sure enough Tri-State NY, NJ, CT, Louisiana and South Carolina were named. Florida and the Governor's E.O. only state "areas with substantial community spread, including NY tri-state area".

Can locals confirm or deny that SC is included in the quarantine?

The wife wants the family to come down 7/5 for a few days. Before I book at AKL-Kadani or BWV, I wanted to see if anyone can clear up DFB's statement.
Thanks in advance:)
FL initially imposed a travel ban on NY/NJ//CT and LA only. They cherry picked those 4 states and banned them vs having a metric which would apply to any state. In the beginning of June the Governor extended that ban but I thought took LA off the list. NY/NJ/CT has their own travel ban on any state that over a 7 day period averages either > 10% percent positive or > 10 new cases a day for every 100K residents. Right now that travel ban includes FL and SC along with 14 other states. The list is updated weekly based on changing conditions. As far as I know those are the only travel restrictions.

What about best face coverings for a day in Orlando summer? I'm thinking the light disposable masks or maybe something like this?
