who said that?
“The number of daily deaths from coronavirus has been falling consistently since peaking in late April. In fact, even as infections have risen since early June, deaths have not.

At the peak in late April, more than 2,000 were dying from coronavirus on a typical day. In late June, it's less than 600. That's still a large number of deaths every day. All told, roughly 115,000 have died from COVID-19 to date.”

but who said people don't think that's good news?

Can we please ban hysteria, panic, fear, and "the media" from further conversations? Or, at the least, if used as buzzwords, employ hashtags. #hysteria #panic #themedia #fear
Will never happen with him. Is all he says. Beginning to think he may be the only one “scared”.. but seriously, we know the code words.

Then turn it off and stop crying to us about it. You made your point already. Or go to the politics thread to whine more.
Boo boo face, huh?

This isn’t a “game”...but if it were - I’d say “sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you”

I’m sorry the travel planning is disrupted...it is for me too.

But I’ll give you this: it’s time for me to go.

The fact that the mortality rate is down and isn’t considered positive to this crowd is astonishing!!
I consider it a positive. Why would anyone want the mortality rate to go up? What I don’t think is that mortality rate is the only factor to consider. The fact that more people aren’t dying doesn’t mean an increase in cases isn’t concerning. I reject the notion that some here have stated that we shouldn’t worry about the large spike in cases as long as the deaths don‘t go up. That isn’t saying that mortality rate being lower isn’t a positive.

More cases lead to more deaths than needed/possible. Simple as that.

People not dying is of course positive news. I don't think (I hope?) anyone is saying the opposite.

Low mortaility in one area means little if the cases are through the roof and theres nothing to stop it leaving that area, and going to another area that might end up being worse off from it.

Any rise in cases anywhere, irespective of mortality rate in the local area is bad for everyone.

You know what's funny?

I think they said half of all new cases (not just Florida) are below age 35. That is astonishing. And even more so, the problem Is there are a bunch of others that are asymptomatic spreading it around.

Of course, it was 100% because they didnt want people to have to wear a mask in a theme park...yep, totally just that, nothing else at all to see here, move along.

I guarantee you that should WDW delay park openings, I'd suggest everyone to take a break from the boards. The flames of blame are going to be pointed at anyone who dared suggest that a delay would be a wise move. Between that and Splash Mountain, woo boy, heads will explode!

An interesting report has come out from Spain saying that there was traces of covid in the sewage water from March 2019! More studies like this need to be carried out to see just how long this thing has been around and to see if this was just an anomaly
