First, welcome to posting on these boards. Second are you traveling with any small children? (stay close to pools) Big group or small? (stay close to food court)

I've stayed there 3 times.

It depends on what you want out of a resort.

If you want to be close to the hustle and bustle...then I suggest the Casitas. (Closest to the main building and restaurants).

If you want the pool...the Casitas are the last place you want to be...because they are the furthest from "The Dig Site" where the main pool is...each section has a quiet pool though.

All in all, I love the resort. I've stayed in the Casitas and the Ranchos and loved them both. I hope the both of you have a great time!

(Although...the only drawback) The foodcourt...I really didn't like the way it was set up...but it got the job done.

Hey Freaky, what did you not enjoy about the Pepper Market? I prefer Carribean Beach's food court myself but am curious as to why you feel that way about Coronado's food court.

Ya know, I really don't know why I didn't like it...I think it was because you had to wait to place a drink order instead of getting it yourself like most food courts...and then you ate before you paid kinda thing. Plus...going in for refills on the resort mugs was kind of a pain because you had to check in with the host or hostess before doing so. (I know...picky picky...but it's just different)

Stay at the Ranchos or Casitas. They are close to the pool and the bus stop is very close. You will have a good walk to the food court. I stayed at the Ranchos and would prefer to stay in the area again if I ever go there.

When I went for refills I would just walk around the line to get in if there was one and get a refill card. I never had a problem getting in & out fast for refills.

As far as the food, I thought is was good. I went to the Coronado because I wanted a Tex/Mex theme and the food is part of it. If you are looking for a steak or pasta this resort will probably not have the restaurant for you, but the food court did have pizza, sandwiches, hamburgers and even a few Chinese dishes along with a very large fresh bakery section.

One of my fav things to do is get a Margarita or 2 and sit outside and look around at the beautiful resort surrounding the lake at night.:) It is amazing how quite this resort.

Not awful just a long wait sometims. I though the food there was excellent but sometimes had to wait a long time to get it. The resort however has the best transportation out of ANY resort hands down. Been there 4 times never let down once.
