I have read up and seen images of Coronado Springs. I know that it holds a convention center, but that it is built so that the center is on one side. My wife and I are looking into this site to try something new. We have done the other moderates an she did Caribbean Beach. Is it nice for couples? It looks big. Is access to main lobby and restaurants hard to get to? Thanks.

Great set up for couples, convention center is sort of off to the side, type it in on youtube, I look at many different poeples videos before I make a decision. Pors is grest also.

I think it's one of the more romantic places, especially at night, so Yea on couples. It can be a little confusing at night, if you're unfamiliar with the place and get a room that is further back, but if you look for (and follow)) the signs, you will be all set.

Excellent gift shop, decent food court selection (now with no extra fee, I hear!), good pool and very pretty.

Besides having a great main pool area, CSR also offers many deluxe amenities at a mod price. CSR also offer business club level rooms now with lounge access.

CSR has queen beds, a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room (can be good for little ones napping in a pack n play) but only one sink.

Amenities include a fitness center, spa, free wi-fi, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night/dance club.

The resort offers the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).

CSR has the largest hot tub of the mods and one of the longest pool slides on Disney property. The pool, slide and playground area is great and all located in one area at the main pool.

Bus service is terrific and is not shared with another resort.

Check out my CSR website for more info.

I liked CSR, and I think the extra size/space of the resort can be a positive. It was nice being so far removed from the main building. The walk to the pool/lobby really aren't all that bad, and the extra quiet is really appreciated. Remember, the long walk really isn't that long AND it happens to be through a themed resort with beautiful landscape and water features. If you're trying to wrangle kids together to the pool or restaurant, I can see it being a hassle. But, if it's just you and your significant other... it's just a nice quiet time to walk without crowds bumping into you.

We went for our honeymoon this past sept and stayed in a king pref room.

I wont say anything bad about the resort but I can say we are not going to stay there again. The king bed was nice and the rooms for a mod I think are up-scale. we were not happy about having a preferred room yet we were far away from everything. everything being bus stop, main hall, dig site pool.... it is a huge resort! we asked a few times to move rooms since we went for 10 nights with no avail. Our check in ( did online) was smooth. we drove from FT. Lauderdale from a friends house we stayed at few days prior to start our honeymoon (we are from boston). First glitch was we could not get a bell hop to help us with our bags and groceries for an est few hours. our room was on the 4th floor with the nearest elevator on the far side of adjacent building. It was hot and we had drove 3.5 hours so not something I really wanted to deal with. we did find a little bug in the bathroom. no sooner did we walk in, the new MRS. had to pee and screamed as soon as she went in....... but food was good, the quick service court is like a combo between sit down and counter but once we figured it out, we loved it. gift shop was pretty big and even had my size in a few shirts which is hit or miss at WDW (5X).

It's a beautiful resort, I love the Cabana side best, and I think it is fairly easy to get a king size bed compared to having that request honored at some of the other resorts...

You might consider upgrading to the business class if you decide on CSR. I ended up with it kind of by default; free dining plan packages were nearly all sold out for the week we wanted in Oct.

Found it very hard to get any "official" details on what business class meant from the Disney site itself - which seemed sort of odd to me. Not even a room picture on the reservation page. I had talked to a CM in reservations and he didn't seem to know much either. Got the most info from Buzz' site listed above - and some here as well. From experience now, can offer this....

You won't be getting anything extra special in terms of the room itself, it's more location, location, location. As noted, it's a good sized resort, but you're in the cabanas right next door to the main building. You're also a short walk to bus stop #1 - the last of four to be picked up - and of course, also the last of four to be dropped off. We found the location very convenient; especially for multiple mug refilling journeys.

The actual added perk is access to the lounge; converted from a couple rooms. According to a CM we got to know, the initial intent of the space was to be rental space for smaller, more intimate, social gatherings from the convention crowd. That idea was met with VERY limited success - not too many takers - and the space was being under-utilized. So they floated the business class idea - to more or less "rent" the lounge to leisure guests instead by charging them a premium.

The lounge is open each morning from 7-10 serving a continental breakfast; nice coffee selection, fresh juice, cereals, bagels, yogurt, pastry and fruit. It reopens at night from 5-10 for that "social hour" concept. There are a couple TVs, tables & chair areas and lounge chairs about. There's a nice selection of snacks - premium chips, dips, nuts and chocolate covered pretzels. A couple of CMs are there to serve you beverages and keep the snacks stocked. Soda is there for the taking; the CMs will serve you beer, wine & sangria.

Mornings were kind of busy, evenings less so, which made for a very nice relaxing break from the normal crowd chaos. Can mingle a little with other guests, or just kick back and let them bring you another bottle of Yuengling! CMs working the lounge were all very friendly and accommodating; we had several very interesting "Disney" conversations.

Everyone's experience would be different, but I would say we got our money's worth out of the deal. If we stay there again, pretty sure we'd go business. Sunsets are awesome looking across the lake toward the main building from the cabanas.

Side note on the Pepper Market. Seemed to us that maybe the quality had slipped a little since our last visit there. We had previously stayed at CSR and ate there, but we liked the PM enough that we would go there to eat even if we were staying elsewhere. This time - - I don't know - - we just were disappointed with the food, and we are not picky eaters by a long shot. Wasn't as busy either - so maybe it wasn't our imagination - - but would be interested in what others might be thinking.

The Coronado is VERY nice. Very beautiful. Lots of water features. Great restaurant. I like it better than POR. Next time I want to stay at a moderate, I'll probably choose the Coronado again, FWIW.

We stayed there when what my husband refers to as "by accident" two summers ago. We'd had a 4 day stay at the poly and while I was off having fun someone pulled a hit and run on my car in the parking lot. My husband feeling bad for my granddaughter and I told me to add a couple days to our trip while things got straightened out with the car (yes...love him he's great lol). We ended up booking at Coronado Springs and both really liked it. It does have a little more of an adult feel, kind of like pofq does, but my granddaughter certainly didn't seem to mind. We had a room in either the Cabanas or Ranchero section, sorry I can't recall, it was to the right side of the resort map. It was a quick walk to a laundry facility, the bus stop, and main pool. I don't know how long it would have taken to walk to the restaurant area because we took a car. The room we had seemed the same size as por or pofq, the beds were queens. I like that even though it's a moderate resort there is still an option for a suite or spa services. It's closest to epcot, ak, dhs, and well...a 24hr mcdonald's. The rooms when we stayed there were in good repair looking like they'd undergone a refurb in recent years. Imo it's not nearly as spread out as cbr, it's more like por in size. My biggest negative was the quick serve area was set up in a small areal that got very congested at peak hours but there was lot of indoor places to sit utilizing the lounge and regular restaurant right next to it. We'd gladly stay there again.

We have stayed at both CSR and POR and although I like them both, I prefer CSR. I like the food better personally. Our 9 year old daughter much prefers CSR, as she likes the main pool there and the food. That is not to say I didn't think POR was good too, so don't think I am dissing PO. :) The only thing I preferred about POR was the ferry ride to Downtown Disney.....we made great use of that.

I found the bus service good at both. POR seems to be more centrally located though. We stayed at CSR in May '11 and POR in Sept '13, so crowds at the park were significantly smaller in Sept. We are heading back to CSR in Sept '14.

Definitely my favorite moderate resort, It is big, but request a room in the cabana's of casitas and your walk to the main lobby will be minimal.

We just got back from staying there last week and we absolutely loved it!!!! We normally stay at Riverside but we moved to Coronado for my daughters cheer event and I am so glad that we did. My husband is not a big park person so he spends more time at the resort than us and he loved it too. The room was so comfortable because it had a desk in there for him, and we loved the size of the room and the decor. Loved having the wooden doors between the dressing area and the room area. The food court was great, and never busy when we went. The resort it's self is just beautiful and more like a mini deluxe than any other moderate we have stayed at.

Tip for our next stay would be to book a preferred room. We were in building 5 which was pretty far from the main building, but we managed just fine. Next time I would like to be closer. That's all I would change.
