The family doesn't literally age from the 1890s to the 1990s.

You're seeing a different scenerio for this family in each scene as if you were meeting them for the first time.

The family does however age 3-5 years between each scene, showing how slightly older individuals can better enjoy technology. i.e. a young adult is gonna like them blinking inscreasin' tree lights than a 4 year old which will just stare at it and go ""

but yeah something is being toyed around with a new ending....:D

I like the CoP, but I can't stand the current version.

We need kaleidophonic screens, a full piece band and orchestra recording of the song "beautiful tomorrow", mother working on the clean waters committee, and Rover back to being the little lap dog he used to be. :D

New meaning to Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow indeed.

That's the only archaic line I think still works. And here's why: Grandpa's old. And old people always use the wrong terminology.

No, this is the one that should go first (just substitute it with DVDs) since at least car phones were once common as was the term but laserdiscs never became popular at all. Grandpa shouldn't even know the word's existence. I thought I was the only one to catch that a few years ago. As for Grandma, her voice is the same person who used to be Judy Jetson in the original series. She once lusted after pop sensation Jet Screamer so it's absolutely right that she would still be hip.

they REALLY need to update that scene, all it needs is some new innovations, maybe put some gadgets that are in the near future and will be around a while, call westinghouse, grab a 1440p definition tv talk about the 3g/4g cell phones and/or devices..i wouldnt even be objective to them doing a "go green" theme to it,just put in something different!

Wouldn't be funny to add one of those 117 inches LCD's Ultra HD 2034P TV with a Green Ray (remember DVD's are Red and BluRays are well U know). a PlayStation 4 and or a Xbox Infinite, Maybe in that Note an iPicture Phone, a iVirtual Mac and some Crazyness for the kitchen (very Jetsons BTW)

Even Though I love the current ending I think it would be best if they just brought back the original ending, since after all it is a tribute to the Original. I think they should also bring back the old opening screen as well minus GE of course.

Paint spilled all over my rump—aah, rumpus—room...

Hah, hah, I always say if you're gonna marry a girl, make sure she's got a sense of humor.

I think they should add a scene at the very end, where you just have the COP logo. Leave the 2000 family stuck in time, and fast-forward to the 2020 family, which are all sitting around in a very sleek living room, staring at their phones, texting each other, with no conversation at all. And maybe a couple of them with some very low-profile VR glasses. The point would be that technology has advanced to a point where conversation is outdated. The lights come up, and you exit the theatre.

Or maybe go darker, and the appliances have evolved to the point where they are in charge, and the family is serving them.

Go even darker, and the family is hunkered down in a underground bunker, hiding from the machines that are out to destroy them, Terminator-style.

And I must admit, on our trip last week, I noticed the cat in the last scene for the first time. It really doesn't have much motion at all, just a tail shake here and there. They really should have the head down, as if it were sleeping, if they aren't going to animate it. Hey, there's a new line! After dad burns the turkey, sister pipes up, "Great, now we'll have to fricasee the cat!" And brother adds, "Dibs on the drumsticks!"

When/if they update the Carousel of Progress they need to find a place for the voice of Rex Allen. He's currently the voice of the Grandfather and it wouldn't be the same without him in there somehow.

Maybe they will make mother the host of the ride and she will be voiced by Dame Judi Dench..........."remember how easy it was to use your oven, thank General Electric, they invented it!"

"Remember your ABC's? The Phoenecians at General Electric invented them."
