Copy Cat Epcot Parks?

Hi friends.

Wanting to find out what are the amusement and theme parks out there internationally in the world that are great clones of Epcot Center?

I know there must be some foreign countries that try to copy the old Epcot Center.

The quality of these imitations may be third or forth rate, yet I'm very much interested in finding out.

I think it would be fun finding these places for a good laugh.

I think I remember someone talking about a park in Korea that was very similar to Epcot. If I remember right, they even had a replica of Spaceship earth. I'll have to search through the threads and see if I can turn that up. There was a photograph attached and everything.

Let's not forget Germany's Europa Park. In addition to having areas themed to different countries, they have the Eurosat coaster, which looks very similar to Spaceship Earth.

I actually like the looks of Europa Park. I've been trying to get some friends together to do an Amsterdam/Oktoberfest trip the past few years but it never seems to be the right timing for everyone. I think we'll add this to our intinerary since its between Bavaria and France and not too far away from Munich.

I have seen the one at Seoul Land

The Globe in Korea at Seoul Land is very small maybe 2 stories. the parks "sweatshop" (Sewing of the costumes) is hidden inside. I've been there and saw it for myself... I did a major comparison to the 3 theme parks similarity to Disney's parks a couple of years ago...

Clone Centers?

This is very interesting and funny news.

A two story Space Ship Earth LOL. This is so funny.

I remember many years ago that there is an old Epcot Center clone in Russia somewhere in the former Soviet Union.

Today, some parts of the former Soviet Union have been split so many times in over a course of a few years that it's really hard locating this excellent Epcot Center clone.

I do remembering seeing a picture of something that resembled "The Living Seas" looking like a scratched up plastic tank with sea monkeys.

I don't know if it exists anymore or if it opens once every year for a couple of months.

I can't read or understand Russian and the other neighboring foreign dialects to find out any relevant information on the net or elsewhere.

Can some one out there among this forum help me out on this one?

go here: http://world.altavista.com/ and then insert the text or website, choose the correct language to english and it will give you a rough translation.

I dont see why you would waste your money on a clone of Epcot!
Because 99% of the rest of the world will never have the opportunity or finances to visit the real one in the United States.

Actually what he was getting at is that he thinks Epcot is boring and wouldn't see why you would copy that instead of IOA or something like that.... he doesn't understand that people actually enjoy Epcot.

Hey - to each their own. That's why we have the luxury of four parks to chose from. Some people love Epcot, some hate it, and I can understand that. Personally, it's my favorite park, but I will be the first one to say it needs a whole bunch of work.

A copy of a copy......

Is there anyone here from Russia or the former Soviet Union that can help me where they have the Russian Epcot Center copy?

Would there be anyone in this forum who has went to an infamous particular park and said "you know this place is so much like Epcot"?
