Ah I see, thanks for clearing that up. I was just curious since I thought that some of the lights (not all) might be used for each scene on the rotating platform which would create a different pattern. Hopefully it is just a lighting problem! :sohappy:

Or it could be an AA problem, sometimes when an AA figure has a problem and they don't have time(or want to spend the time) to fix it, they just turn off those lights and keep the audio running and hope no one notices.

Whilst we are on the subject, finally take out the E.P.C.O.T. model from Tomorrowland and put it back in its original home.. upstairs in a renovated CoP (even more so if a new building were built - I`m not sure if WDW`s Carousel Theatre could accommodate it) and reinstate the original exit from Disneyland of the speedramp off the stage up to it. Heck, why not put in the EPCOT Center model as well from the old Backstage Magic show (assuming it hasn`t been scrapped)??

If CoP had to move to Epcot (not a bad idea) to survive, I`m all for it... and finally bridge the gap between Communnicore and Innoventions at the same time!

Now, about the original Communicore WEDWay plans and how to tie them into this new building...

I think the ride would do much better in Epcot than any other Disney park around the world. I don't think it should be in Innoventions/Communicore Buildings. I think it should be in it's own new building. "The World of Electricity"... :hammer:

Reason why? The General Electric was able to present the CoP in a well done pavilion.

At the Electricity Pavilion at Epcot...either built over Blunders of Life or the Odyssey never open restaurant...guests will enter the electricity pavilion at ground level and will walk around a queue or free flow area that shows the history of CoP, Walt Disney's roll in the ride, and GE [if that's ok] and how all three were at the fair, disneyland, magic kingdom, and epcot through models, pictures, films ,etc.

Then guests [at their own will] can head up the curving ramp around the electricity pavilion tot he second level and expierence an all new CoP. One with good audio, lighting, etc. I personally think the show should have 1900, 1920, 1940, 1960, 1980, 2000..and the finale which would be called "tomorrow" and would be the only thing that would eve neeed to change...but the show would be 45 minutes long.

After the CoP...guests take a speedramp from the inside of the unload theater through the hall of mirrors and enter the skydome. There they first are greeted with two models. One of Progress City restored in it's full form...and one of EPCOT Center or Epcot as it is today...after learning their history with the models lighting up for each pavilion or city scene...guests lean back on the walls and watch a show projected on the dome of the ceeiling about electricty for about 7 minutes...and exit the building into a post show of the sponsoring company.... :animwink: I borrowed these from other people's ideas and tried to put them together.

or the current ride could just get rehabbed for God's sake.

It's truly a pain in the side - as a Walt Disney fan - to think of this attraction - an inspiring "ultimate piece of art," as WDI shows have been dubbed - trashed or left in disrepair - when designed and love dearly by the company's founder and whose signature makes billions of dollars a year - replaced with a "carnie ride" that could just as easily been created by your local fairground...

Very true, Grizz; however, it's sadder yet to see this once-proud attraction in a state of disrepair. Despite your urgings to attend whenever it's open (in order to boost numbers), it may be better to have the attraction shuddered and either given the TLC it derserves or retired gracefully.

BTW, Grizz, is there a chronic issue with D-Troops.com? I keep getting that "Seeing this instead of the website you expected"/Powered by Apache page when I attempt to visit...

Its just really sad how they've let that attraction go. It was on of my absolute favorites. Of the last 4 times I've ridden it, it broke down 3 times..Makes you wonder if Disney is just planning to let it get to the point where it's "unsalvagable" to put up a new attraction..
