Contest Ideas!

OK let me see if I can 'splain this idea.

We take an attraction and create a wallpaper for it. The catch is that you can't use any pictures of or from that attraction. You have to come up with something that conveys a sense of the attraction without actually showing it. No logos, names, or EPCOT icons etc...

You could use pictures of other thing to get the idea across or create something like SirNim did in the World of Motion contest but without the attraction name. If you look at SirNim's WOM wallpaper and picture it without the WOM name on it you still get a feel for the attraction.

Do ya'll get my drift? Not sure if I explained it very well.

I'd like to see a contest where you have to create a flash movie but not everyone has flash...

Or how about an Illuminations atraction poster contest.

I'm always glad to be a source of inspiration... :lol:

I actually think that this would be one of the more challenging types of contests, not out of technical difficulty but rather out of imaginative difficulty and ability. Regardless of what imaging software people would use, it would not matter how they used the software but rather how their imagination fed the idea.

So, this is a good idea! :sohappy:

Either someone could post an outline of Mickey similar to the statues, or we could just do it from scratch...

If we choose to use a pre-drawn Mickey, another suggestion would be to make it so that everyone has to use Paint to make theirs... That way, its more creativity than what program you use

I have an idea...

The contest would be that everyone should design an attraction poster for a fictional attraction (or an attraction not yet built). For example, an attraction poster for a weather pavillion in Epcot, or a Cave of Wonders ride in Adventureland, or even Expedition Everest.

If these rides are ever built or when they are built, it would be fun to compare them to the actual attraction posters that Disney creates.

I know...but it will force people to really rely on their own imagination. There will be nothing to stem from, so everyone can formulate what they think things should look like. Granted, it's an idea that's just not for everybody.
