Staying at the CR Dec. 16-23. and it hit me. How is the CR doing now that the monorail is being used by basically two resorts and how crowded does the concourse level look? Considering a switch to the BC.

Don't forget that there were rooms there before - in the North Wing.

The new Bay Lake Tower has 295 2-bedroom villas; so I assume that would be just under 600 rooms if all were used as 1-bedroom units or studios.

The South Garden wing houses 250 rooms.

From old maps, it looked like the North Garden wing had more rooms, I am trying to find the exact number.

Hmmm...good point. Maybe the recent thread from Mike who just stayed at BLT can answer your question. CR is always congested anyways.

I don't think it should be too bad, though. It is a very large resort.

Even if it were some horribly unbearable wait time, you could always just walk from MK. It's not far.

Yeah, I'd be more inclined to walk to MK, and maybe take the monorail back. The way the monorail loops, it's MK-CR-Poly-TTC-GF-back to MK. So if you hop the monorail to get to MK, you have to hit all the other stops first. Whereas when you leave the MK, the CR is the first stop out.

Excellent point Slappy. It is only a 5 min. walk to get to MK from CR so it would be quicker to walk.:animwink:

I love the monorail and unless it was my first day going (when i'd be super excited to go to the MK), i'd prob hop on the mono.:)

We had no long waits for the monorail when we stayed there last week. The biggest line for the monorail we saw was actually for the express monorail at the TTC. The resort and Epcot monorails were fine.
