I just booked for the contemporary tower in August, lake view we are on the list for MK view. And I had a few questions about the place if any one has info. 1) I know they have a bridge to the contemporary, but does or will the new tower have their own buses, 2) has the place opened up for at least people to see what's going on inside and what it looks like? We have seen all the artist conception images, but would like to know if anybody has actually seen the place? Thanks in advance.

1) The Bay Lake Tower will be sharing most of the preexisting facilities with the rest of Resort. Same bus stop, same front desk, same luggage room, same shops, same restaurants, etc.

2) The site is still a construction area, so no.

We will be staying at the BLT in August for two nights. I understand that check-in will be at the CR check-in area - but I do not know if this is a permanent situation. I have also heard that the only folks who can use the bridge connecting the resorts will be those who can present a room key to the BLT.

Interesting that CR front desk will be used for both, doesn't make much sense to me, but then they may have their own after the BLT has opened up, they still have to provide parking for those staying there and I don't think that the CR has enough for both. And we will have our own SUV while there. And since it is a resort in itself the bus stops will be packed with guests going to and from the resort if just one bus stop is provided, again doesn't make much sense to me, to go to the CR bus stop to go to BLT at the end of the night it would be like going back to one of the ASR, way too long a wait time for me.

Yes, it is permanent (well, as permanent as things can get at Disney). And you are correct in that only Guests staying in the BLT will have access to that Tower.

You seem to have a misconception about the nature of the relationship of Bay Lake Tower to the Contemporary. You have to understand that this is ALL THE SAME HOTEL. Bay Lake Tower is not a Resort in itself, it is not different from the Contemporary, it is part of it, all the same facility. You can hardly even call it an expansion, as it has just a few more rooms than the North Garden Wing did. Nothing has really changed from when the north wing was there, except that the building that is residing in that spot is twelve stories taller now and has a pool. You will be walking no farther to the bus stop than any of the Guests of the North Garden Wing did for two or three decades. It is no more seperate from the Contemporary than are the various DVC components of Wilderness Lodge, BoardWalk, and Beach Club.

Don't all other DVC resorts that are attached to Deluxe Resorts share check-in and bus stops?

Correct!

When complete, the Contemporary complex (A-Frame Tower, Garden Wing and BLT) will only have about 1100 rooms. There are a number of Disney resorts much larger than that. Pop Century has 3000...All Stars have 2000...Caribbean Beach has 2000...Animal Kingdom Lodge + Villas has about 1500, and so on.

It doesn't matter how many physical bus stops exist. All Disney needs to do is provide service at the appropriate intervals. Long waits = more buses on the route.

Plus as another poster mentioned, the Bay Lake Tower is basically replacing the old North Garden Wing. The Garden Wing had over 200 rooms while BLT will be in the neighborhood of 300-400 depending upon how lockoffs are booked. This isn't exactly a huge growth of the resort as a whole.

As for parking, since the 3-story North Garden Wing is being replaced by a 15-story vertical tower, the new building footprint is actually smaller. There were also a number of tennis courts eliminated to make room for parking.

Ok, now it all makes sense to me, forgive me not getting the idea right away, but because it went higher up than the garden rooms, alot of people besides me will think the same. Again, thanks
