So when will they likely commence work? The documents indicates the notice expires within a year, but not when the work will actually take place.

Since I'll be checking in at the end of June....

Turn over time for permit filings can vary. Sometimes something filed months ago will suddenly appear while others happen within days. I'd say soonish the work will start because they just finished the arcade.

Why is it that wheneever I view the OCComp site, I only get a list of documents filed for EPCOT and it's resorts. Is there a certain item to search for other than Walt Disney World Company?

walt disney - it'll bring up walt disney world, walt disney world recreation, walt disney world hospitality, walt disney world hospitality and recreation corp, walt disney imagineering (the most interesting ones) amoung others..

Occasionally if i'm bored i'll start hunting for abbreviations too.

Don't forget, Brown jackets & Sky Blue shirt & ties for Front Desk, Brown & Salmon for Lobby & Club Concierge. I've seen the sketches in the Exec. Conference room, and the decorations around the desk lok a little iffy... (metal bead curtians between the stations) but the water feature in the current area of the Stokowski & Mickey statue looks great. The lobby is already a much more plesant place now that a lot of the noise from the arcade is gone. We are still waiting to find out where we will be checking people in while the lobby is out of commish...

Been to the new arcade yet? It's not my favorite.. actually, I sort of dislike it. It's dark - like being in a cave - and the entrance isn't attractive at all (why a mirrored pyramid without any sort of lighting?) and creates a big blank beige wall where the old entrances to the store used to be.

It looked like they were working on the entrance today, a guy was in the display case with some kind of lighting. It looked like he was a display. :lookaroun

I peeked over the atrium from 12 today, but couldn't see much going on. I was up on 14 most of the night (handling noise complaints from Grad Nite). It's amazing what a free bottle of wine will do to to help someone get to sleep. I'm not a fan of the retail space that will be filling up the center of the north end of the Concourse, but I guess we'll see how it looks when it's all done. I'm figuring the arcade will adjust the lighting. Having managed an arcade before I came to Disney, I know that lighting has to be minimal because of glare issues on the screens. Fun center was always dank and dark to me too. It always seemed that the main source of light was the windows into the Food Center.
