Congratulations to Shalane Flanagan for grabbing 2nd place yesterday at the 41st ING NYC Marathon! She's one of my fav elite runners (besides Kara Goucher of course) and it was good to see her finish so strong.

She did look great finishing, especialy for running her first marathon ever.

She rocked it...so close I thought she might pull it off when they hit the park...but that one downhill broke the 3 leaders up...
