Condition of Typhoon Lagoon.

Yep. I tore the living crap outta my right knee about 8 years ago while in that wave pool. I bled like a water faucet. I actually thought I was going to need stitches. I went to a CM for a band-aid and she looked at me like I did something wrong.
Did you go to First Aid?
Having used First Aid at each of the 4 parks and TL, our family has always found the nurses and staff to be outstanding. The last time we needed a bandaid (for blisters) we were given what we needed for immediate use, and 4 for the road.
We have also used their services for Advil, Benadryl, an ice-pack, and most recently, a sliver.
Exemplary, non-judgmental service, each and every time.

No. I probably should have, but when I realized what I had done to my knee I wasn't thinking too clearly. The CM must have gone there and gotten me one. To be honest, with all of the exposed skin at the water parks all the CM's there need to carry a small first aid kit with them.

To add, regardless of how close it actually is, this entire situation regarding the fact of it's rumored condition encouraged me to make it known to the fan community. It's such a shame to hear and see this kind of neglect. The only way it's changing is if we make our voices heard.

Really? "It's such a shame to hear and see this kind of neglect" I have ZERO idea if the rumor is true or not, but if it were do you really think the only way it would be corrected is by making our voices heard? C'mon Man

I have to admit these stories are always fun!.

I have to ask, was the CM a bus driver to and from TL????

By next week the Tree of life will be falling into the sinkhole and will support the pool..........IF.......Miss Tilly doesn't fall down onto the sidles, skid over a walkway and end up in the pool adding to much weight and there by causing the whole thing to end up sinking anyway!

I'm a cast member, my source is a
Co-Cast who I was chatting with deployed from Typhoon Lagoon at my location. He has been there when they have actually closed the wave pool, and have been told from other in park sources what was truly wrong.

I've been to typhoon lagoon twice, both times the person I was with scraped a body part in the wave pool.. About 10 years ago my grandfather scraped his knee and this year my husband cut his hand pretty bad when he scraped his hand on the bottom..of course both were to stubborn to see first aid..

Sorry Jake, you are entitled to post your statement /opinion.

But so many of these stories turn out to be false and made up. This one is pretty strange period!

I would point out that Bus drivers are CM's too. This other CM may have been just leading you on or repeating a story told to him.

Its also possible it was nothing more then some part needing repair ................we really don't know.

The Tilly is pretty far back and there really little there but a fiberglass outer molding and the steel support structure.

I was at Typhoon a few days before it closed this fall, and the water and whistle effects from Miss Tilly were still working. Can't speak for the physical condition of the boat itself however.

I don't know for sure, but it seems unlikely to me that the boat would have anything to do with the waves.

Typhoon is down for refurb until just before Christmas. Can't wit until it opens!!

The floor of the lagoon has damaged my knees all three times I have been there! I'm scared to go in there sometimes, because if you lose your footing, you're going to get some serious damage!

If you can swim reasonably well, may I suggest that you go over to the deep water area of the wave pool. A few years ago, I scraped my foot was when I was in the shallower, waist-deep water, and the wave knocked me down.

Since then, I only hang around the deep water end and have never had an issue. The deep water cushions the impact of the waves and you don't get tossed to the bottom of the pool. The big waves are fun, too!

Yeah I can and I do try, but somehow you always end up in the shallow end, and end up on your butt at some point!

My kids LOVED TL - especially the wave pool. My daughter scraped the top of her foot pretty bad one year, which made walking around the parks difficult for the remainder of our vacation. My main issue was not getting scraped, but getting thrown up against mostly unclothed strangers!
