Conde Nast agrees that Disney Cruise Line is awesome!

The latest Conde Nast Traveler issue ranked the top 100 cruise lines. In the large cruise ship category, Disney has 3 out of the top 4 ships!!

Is that amazing, or what?

The Magic is ranked number 1, The Dream is ranked number 3 and the Wonder is ranked number 4.

Well done, Disney!

Conde Nast Traveler is one of the most well known travel magazines in the US.

They tend to concentrate on high end travel so I'm always impressed when they mention Disney.

Yes! The Magic beat them both in itineraries. They have a list next to each ship with scores in various categories which they combine for the overall score.

The categories they took into account are:

Itineraries/Schedule (The Magic got a 92.3, the Dream got a 81.1, and the Wonder got 86.3)

Shore Excursions (Magic 84.9 which is 4 points higher than any ship on the list, Dream 79.1, and the Wonder is 79.4)

Crew/Service (Magic 96, Dream 90.7 and Wonder 95.6)

Cabins (Magic 90.4, Dream 92.6, and Wonder 90.4)

Food/Dining (Magic 84.7, Dream 88.9, and Wonder 84.1)

Activities/Facilities (Magic 92.7, Dream 96.3 - highest by almost 4 points on any ship and line, and Wonder 91.8)

Design//Layout (Magic 94, Dream 90.7, and Wonder 93.4)

Ooooh... I get 'Travel+Leisure'. I should look up a subscription to 'Traveler' too. T+L had an article in one of their late 2011 issues giving best rankings to different types of cruises. Of course Disney took the Family Cruise category. Also, the Dream ranked either at or near the top for best new ship for the year. Loooove hearing DCL get some props. They truly are amazing. To the nay-sayers who can't see past the characters all I have to say is: pffffft!

Exactly! I've seen them win all sorts of family cruise awards. It's so nice to see them just out and out win against other ships without taking any characters or Disney obsessed fans into the mix! They're just great cruise ships. For all ages and party makeups!

I watched a National Geographic Documentary on it the other night. Crazy how fast they put it together, but very well done. I hope they put the captain should go to prison for the rest of his life.
