Concern with My Disney Experience applications

I'm concerned about fully using MDE for my upcoming vacation in Sept. I pulled in my resi on my iPad MDE application. Somehow it has listed DS twice and omits DD. Tried to manage this through the app, then online without success. I called the number listed for online help. The young lady was very nice, but told me my resi with Disney Travel was correct so I should not worry. However, NOTHING could be done about the MDE guest list. I guess its not a big deal, but I'm hesitant about doing anything further with the new system given this issue which should be easily corrected. Am I overreacting? Anyone else exp similar issues or concerns about utilizing for actual ADR/FP/etc.?

We need time for things to happen.
We're headed there for September as well.
I noticed more than a few things weird\not right about how our reservation displays as well. Mainly our regular DDP looks looks like it's Quick service DDP.

I called to confirm we were down for the right plan and the CM on the phone confirmed it was the regular DDP. I told them what it looked like on the new site and they made a point to say. "I'm making a note of the way it looks on the site and will mention it to my supervisor" in other words it appeared they were 'on alert' about these type of things...I could be way off but that's the vibe I got.

It's new, it's mostly broken, and I see no one resembling a computer literate person working on it -wouldn't trust it at ALL until about 2014.

I would refer to your printed, FORMAL, WDW reservation letter - be sure to take this with you, as well as a full list of your reservation numbers.
It's interesting Disney would go live with a guest system that seems to still be in development. As I said, the CM to whom I spoke said basically; sorry, don't know why and nothing I can do.... Although, from what I've read, this "NextGen" is a very ambitious project.

I have had a ton of problems with the app as well...lists the resort we're staying at, but won't link any of our ADRs no matter what I've tried. The nicest Disney Rep. online suggested they "might not have needed to roll this out until the kinks had been worked out!"
She stated that the resort we check into can print an itinerary for all of it when we arrive, and we are doin' this 'Old School' as we have done in the past, but I was looking forward to using this "All-In-One Convenience" and now we can't!

I've been trying to add "guests" to my pre-existing dining reservations both through the Android app and through the WDW website and have been having issues in both instances.

At the moment, I only have one friend linked to my account in the "Friends & Family" section. (We decided we wanted to play around with the app and its features) I try to add him to a dining reservation on the app and it gives an error about data. If I try to do it on the website, it doesn't like that I'm leaving the boxes for Guests #3-6 blank on a 6-person dining reservation. Apparently its programmed to insist on everyone's name or no one's name...

But the nice thing is that once its up and running, it appears that dining plans and other things you add to you "itinerary" in the app (show times, parade, fireworks, and I presume eventually FP+) will be visible to those other people. So if Mom is in charge of the trip, she can add Dad, the kids, Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob. And then the teen kids can run off into the park on their own, Mary and Bob can sleep in at the hotel, but they'll all be able to see the overall plan on their own phones.

There are a lot of glitches. I still need to call the technical services department. I got the number from a cast member b/c they still have me living at an address I have not used in almost 6 years. So...clearly still some glitches to get out. :)

This is not a disney experience problem...your issue has been a problem for YEARS and calling them may not solve the situation...I had changed it numerous times over the years and it never took, then magically one day the address just updated itself...

Oh, gotcha. I assumed it was link to the finding reservations and personal details on the website. I have had trouble with that too and just assumed it was linked.

I've had issues with this as well. ADR's I made on line linked / showed up instantly. ADR's I made over the phone show up when I tried to link them, but would never "stick" or stay there. We are staying club level in August and the IPO office was able to link them and have them "stick" in our Disney experience app.
Another problem is that one of the ADR's for CRT shows it's for two adults and one child however when I go to manage the party it lists my DD name, but it says she is an adult and I can't add her to the party experience since it is looking for a child... Oh, well - no big deal, it would be nice if it worked. There are glitches...

I keep trying to add dinner reservations and the app asks for a phone # but the operator says it uses an email address, then says that's another web site for the app and they have no control over that?

You use your Reservation number and E-mail to link ADR's but good luck with that. The Itenerary Planning office was able to fix mine somehow. Try calling the concierge desk at your resort and see if they can help?

I am not a fan of the new application at ALL!!! I have similar issues. One one of my resort reservations comes up (we are going a split stay) and anytime I try to add the other reservation it tells me I can't b/c it was already added, but I can't view it. Luckily my dinner reservations are showing up.

I just verified that both of my reservations were correct with Disney after I saw the issues of MDE.
