Trip Report *COMPLETED* Where's My Map and Other Disneyland Adventures

Hey everyone!!!

We have been back from Disneyland for a few weeks now so I suppose its time to finally start my trip report! (I finally started it @Longers)

So just a quick overview:
Who: My mom (Mary) and me (Megan)
This is a picture of us from WDW when we were there with my sisters in February for The Princess Half Marathon

When: August 5th - 8th (then San Jose until the 11th)

Why: My best friend from residency was getting married in San Jose (is now happily married) and I was able to get a few extra days off from work so why not stop at DL on the way! I was planning on going alone but my mom wasn't too keen on me traveling across the country alone so she agreed to come with me and I am so happy she did!!

Preface: Let me first say that we LOVED Disneyland!!!! I had SO many people tell me that I was going to hate it and that I would be disappointed because its so much smaller than WDW. We were not the least bit disappointed and fell in love with DL and I honestly hope to go back within the next five years (would be sooner if it wasn't all the way in Cali haha)!! Also as an FYI I took a TON of videos of this trip and not as many pictures because I wanted my family to see everything so I will try and edit those too and share them

Ok anyway enough rambling:

August 4th: I had a long 16 plus hour work day so needless to say I was so excited about going on a mini trip. My parents were going to pick me up at my apartment so we could leave from my parents house in the morning. On my way home from clinic I got a text from my one of my best friends that her car was broken into! She and I live in the same apartment complex and her car is parked in the locked garage along with mine so I was shocked to hear this. I felt so bad so I made sure I spent some time making sure she was OK before I got my things to leave. When my parents showed up they too made sure she was OK, but we seriously felt so bad for her because they took a ton of stuff from her car. I was honestly a little worried about leaving my car sitting there the whole time I was gone but she told me she would look out for it and to go on vacation already!

August 5th: I actually slept decently well considering I was going to DL! I don't think it had actually hit me yet since it was in the middle of the work week haha
We got up at 5:30 am and headed off to the airport!
We look....great? JK

After a quick 15 minute drive to the airport we checked in and got in line for security! We actually got to spend some time with my friend Sara and her husband in line because they were leaving for Cali for the wedding too! Anyway we did get yelled at because we had TSA pre-check and didn't realize it haha At least in the end we didn't have to take our shoes off

Finally it was time to board the plane!!!
We ended up sitting behind my friend's Adnaan's parents who were on their way to San Jose for his wedding!

Pretty soon (jk it was like 4 hours later) we were seeing some stuff that certainly was indicative of us being on the west coast !

Ok so a few things about the flight: my mom and I decided to sit in the middle/window seat so we could look out the window! However, the guy who sat next to me literally did not move...at all...like he stared at his computer the whole time. I had to go to the bathroom so bad but I felt bad moving him haha finally when my friends mom got up to go I said to my mom "thats it we are going too." I kindly asked the man next to me if we could sneak past him and he said "well fine, but I would hardly call it sneaking." OK sir sorry...nevertheless we finally felt better after going to the bathroom haha. We did pass some of the time watching Bug's Life in preparation for Bug's Land
Our layover was quick but it was in Vegas so of course we had to play the slots haha

Vegas took all of our money (or just the $5 we played)

You could see the strip from the airport! This is probably as close as I will ever get to Vegas haha

We got some "salsa" for a snack - I put it in quotes because that is certainly not what salsa looks like in Buffalo haha. We still ate it despite our hatred of tomatoes

The woman who sat next to my mom was really into chatting ... she was going to a wedding at DL but was totally hating on Disney. I think once I pulled out my Unofficial Guide to Disneyland she realized she was complaining to the wrong people. The flight was so short it was funny how fast they gave out the drinks and snacks. I really wanted a bloody Mary but a 45 minute flight wasn't the right time haha
Headed to Cali!

We landed in Santa Ana in no time and the airport (John Wayne) was beautiful!

I can't believe how quickly our luggage came! Maybe the Buffalo airport is just incredibly slow...haha
I was missing DME a little - sad I had to carry my own luggage haha
So I had planned on trying to find a cab with a fixed rate to DL but I was too excited so I literally ran outside and got the first cab I could find haha
We didn't take the bus thing because we would have had to wait for an hour for it and I couldn't contain my excitement.
Our cab driver was so nice and we hit a bit of traffic but he assured us Disneyland was only like 20 minutes away without traffic so he didn't think it would take us much longer than that. It took us only 25ish minutes with traffic and soon we were seeing Disney Way (or something haha). All in all it cost us $53 with tip which was cheaper than the flat rate cabs. We got to the hotel at like 12:30 wayyyy earlier than I expected!!

Alright I have to work at like 4 am so off to bed. Next up DL!!!!

Yeah, Mr. Toad's isn't one of my favorite rides, just seemed very strange to me (same for Roger Rabbit).

I like the picture of Geppetto's village with the Matterhorn peering over the top, as if to say "Hello down there!"

I also like IASW better at DL than WDW, especially the outdoor facade and additional characters.

I like Pooh at WDW better than DL. I don't know if it's still super-loud on DL's version, but the last time I went on it I found it almost painful, and I'm not someone who ever complains about music being too loud!

And yes, we do need the rain out here desperately. I think we've technically been in a perpetual drought for many years now.

Mr. Toads and Roger Rabbits Spin were defiantly one time rides haha they are so weird! I never even noticed that the Matterhorn was in that picture thats so funny! IASW was great at DL! I feel like I'm going to be sad when I go back to the WDW one haha. Now that you say that Pooh was REALLY loud at DL!!! I totally forgot!!!! I feel so bad that you are in a drought its so sad when you go to use the automatic sinks and barely any water comes out!

Really enjoying your report! My friend and I are maybe kinda sorta planning a trip to Disneyland next summer.. So this is helping me make decisions! The hotel looks beautiful! I hope I don't compare everything to WDW but I feel like I must experience Disneyland to be a true Disney addict

OH MAN! You guys would love DL!!!!!!! You neeeeeeeddddd to go! It definitely feels like you have to go to DL to really complete your addition. I think my addiction grew tenfold after going haha. The Disneyland Hotel was great I would definitely recommend it. The Grand Californian was beautiful inside but its so expensive and I didn't care for the Paradise Pier one

It's inevitable to compare DLR with WDW, but that's OK because some will be better, some worse, and some just different. Any way you look at it, though, it's still Disney, which means you'll have a fabulous time no matter what!

So true...so hard not to compare the two but I think that makes it all the more fun!

Day 2 continued (wow we packed a lot into this day!!!)
After walking around a bit it was super packed for the parade so we figured it was probably a good time to line up. After debating about where to stand we picked to sit behind the benches in front of the train station. This was actually a great spot because we weren't planning on staying for the fireworks this night. While we were waiting I popped over to the popcorn stand and got us some delicious Disney popcorn to snack on *although to be fair I don't think its quite as delicious as it is in Disney World haha
Anyway about 30 minutes before the parade started they made us stand up to wait for the parade which was a little annoying, especially when you are very tired but oh well. We figured no big thing because the parade will start where we are standing....wrong....it starts at IASW and then makes its way ALLLLL the way down to us hahaha. The CMs were super cool though, really getting everyone into the spirit! They played games and tried to decide who was the loudest. Soon enough we heard the music and the parade started coming! The only weird thing is the people who sell the light up stuff were right in front of the parade...I felt like they were going to get hit!

A hidden Olaf

Paint the Night was soooooo cool!!!! The music is so catchy and the floats are so cool!!! Being a huge fan of the Main Street Electrical Parade I was very impressed with the fact that small touches of the music came from the MSEP music! I l think I listen to the Paint the Night Sound Track almost everyday.... The colors are so bright on the floats...I hope someday they update MSEP to have floats like this Im working on editing my videos now so I will post them when I'm done. I think the colors come across better in the videos!

We left right after the parade and walked the short walk back to the hotel while watching the Disneyland Forever fireworks from outside the park!

Next up Cali Adventure

 

[Doc Disney]

Day 3!
We got up early again and headed to Starbucks for breakfast. Starbucks is in Downtown Disney on the way to the parks and it was not crowded at all. We were behind a lady trying to order for herself and her husband while wrangling her kids though; I felt bad for her. I think I ended up seeing her back in line later getting something else.

We both got hot chocolate and croissants

We enjoyed our croissants but my moms not a big fan of her hot chocolate because it had milk in it. She still talks about it haha she doesn't frequent Starbucks too often.
After this we headed to California Adventure and waited in the short line
The opening looks just like Hollywood Studios!

When the park opened we walked right to Radiator Springs Racers!

We were able to get on in 10 minutes!

This ride is awesome!!!!!!!!!! Its similar to Test Track just 10000000 times better

After riding we walked around Cars Land a bit to explore

Cozy Cone Motel

Then we went on Toe Maters Junkyard Jamboree

This ride is super fun!!! We really enjoyed it and the wait was only 10 minutes

We had planned to go to Bugs Land after this but the rides were actually closed still since the whole park wasn't open yet so we looked around instead

After walking around we got in line to get Fast Passes for Radiator Springs again! We only waited for like 10 minutes for a FP and got one for 8:55 am! Yay!
We were able to beat the non early admission crowd to California Screamin' and waited about 10 minutes for that (behind a family really into discussing the Marvel Disney owned but Universal owned Rides issue haha)
The ride was fun and not too bad in terms of roller coasters....especially since my mom was a little nervous. It was pretty overcast this whole morning so we headed over to Mickeys Fun Wheel since there was like no wait. We went on the non-swinging gondolas haha

When we were on the Fun Wheel we saw divers going into the water to fix some of the World of Color fountains.
It was pretty chilly on that Mickeys Fun Wheel actually haha It was cool to see everything from above though
We still had a bit of time before our Radiator Springs Fast Passes so we headed to Goofy's Sky School

We had a lot of fun on this ride! I know some people say its pretty lame but the wait was zero minutes so it was fine for me !

Next up back to Radiator Springs

Back over to Cars Land we went and took some more pictures. The place was so cool! I couldn't help but take a ton of pictures. Its so hard for it to come across in pictures I think but it really is so so cool! It looks so similar to the movies even though its not animated (obviously)!

We got to meet Toe Mater! Its so cool because they "drive themselves" around like you can just see them driving down the street at any time its really pretty neat. Not like the meet and greet of them at Hollywood Studios haha

All the cones were little restaurants

They had a cone with Mac and Cheese and bacon that I wanted to try but never got around to it. I think it was similar to the ones they had for a short time at WDW Fantasmic!

I'm literally obsessed with this ride I really could not get enough of it and it will definitely be the reason for me to go back to DL!! BTW the lady sitting next to me (not my mom obviously haha) was texting almost the entire ride

Out of curiosity I walked over to the Fast Pass machines for Radiator Springs Racers and we were able to get a third Fast Pass for later in the day!!! It was so exciting!!! I could not believe my luck because I had heard the Fast Passes run out in an hour and we were still able to get some.

We went back to Bugs Land after this
I said this in my first post but we watched Bugs Life on the way to Cali so the movie was fresh in our minds and we especially enjoyed the area!

We went on Flik's Flyers first *thats the picture above
We sat in the Casey Jr carton haha those little boxes were so cute some of the boxes had nutrition facts on the bottom

We skipped the Ladybug Boogie

We also skipped Tuck and Rolls ...this was mostly a kiddy ride land so we didn't want to go on everything haha

Then we went on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train which was amazing ... it was so funny!!! haha

We finished up Bugs Land so then wanted to hit up Hollywood Land. Instead of walking over (which actually would have been like a two second walk the back way from Bugs Land) we took the Trolley over

The person who was driving the Trolley forgot their lines and even said that out loud I don't think that would have happened at WDW to be honest.
Nevertheless it drops you off at the Tower of Terror. My mom kind of wanted to go on it but the wait was super long and we had already gotten Fast Passes for Radiator Springs Racers so we didn't get a chance to go on it. I feel pretty bad about it actually but she says she doesn't mind that we didn't go on it. Plus she loved RSR too so she was happy we would have the chance to go on again

Ok continuing on with Day 3:
Hollywood Land is pretty cool
I forgot to post this picture...it was typical of me filming this trip haha

Mad T Party area was pretty cool as well

There was a ton of cool plastic furniture around that you can sit on

After this we went on Mike and Sully to the rescue! I only have this blurry picture of Roz haha

That ride was super cute!
We were wandering around after this and we ended up running into the Olaf Meet and Greet and it only had a 10 minute wait! I asked Olaf if he was happy it was summer and he was

Do they even have a M and G of Olaf at WDW? I don't think so? I was so happy we got to see him!!!
We walked around a little bit more because I think my mom was talking to my sisters on the phone.

There was another stage where some local kids were doing some performances. After we left this Mad T Party area we ran into another amazing M and G...Doc McStuffins!!!!!!! I WAS SO EXCITED!!! The woman in front of us let us go ahead because she was waiting for people and ironically we got yelled at for line cutting...its like the one time someone "caught" people cutting in line and we didn't even do it haha
I told Doc I was a doctor too

I was so so happy that I saw her!! She was so sweet!
We went into the Disney Animation building

I think we were getting super hungry at this point so we didn't really get the point of this building haha. We left after this in search of food. We walked allllll the way to the Paradise Pier area because we were going to eat at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta but nothing looked appetizing and we didn't really want to spend $7 on one slice of pizza (which looked like it had been sitting out for awhile actually) so we decided to head back to Downtown Disney by way of The Grand Californian *which is connected to the park
This is the only picture I have? The interior reminds me of the WL which I love! It was super cool inside but huge! I'm glad we got to see it even though it was quick

We did really want pizza so we headed to Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria
We were seating right away even though it was pretty busy
We started with Bread Service

We sat outside because it was semi-cool temperature wise and the outside area was pretty cool looking

We split the Pepperoni Pizza...we probably could have gotten an individual pizza to split because we only ate half. The pizza was pretty good. I would call it a small step down from Via Napoli...but a very small step down because it was still pretty good!

After we ate our waiter took our picture!

After we ate I insisted that we bring the leftovers to our hotel because I was certain I would eat if for breakfast the next day so we walked back to the hotel only to turn around and head back to California Adventure right away haha

Next up: Cali Adventure and the pool

We headed back to Cali Adventure and ran into....Oswald! It was so cool to meet him He was happy that we were wearing blue too (this is the exact picture that we sent to my sister Jill who finally noticed we were wearing matching tops and called us out haha). We were behind a person who was like who is this rabbit and I said to my mom " who would wait for a character they don't even know?!" and then my mom admitted she didn't know who Oswald was...hahaha She remembered once I told her.

The reason we went back to California Adventure so quickly was because I wanted to make sure we saw Aladdin so we headed over to the theatre

This show was awesome!!! I heard that it is going away and I feel so bad because it was honestly so good and the genie is so funny (and makes a lot of relevant jokes like deflategate)
After this we went back to the hotel to swim because my mom was determined to go down the slides
I got this marshmallow treat along the way...they have a bakery in Downtown Disney that I got it from...we were actually on a mission to find a Rice Crispy Treat to bring home to my sister Betta but they aren't as popular in DL I guess because we had a hard time finding one

We hung out at the pool for a bit and got to go down all the slides which were cool because they were in the shape of a monorail

When we were going down the one slide one of the guys before us actually dipped under and they had to save him

My mom was pretty pleased with herself for going down the slide

When we were sitting there relaxing some kids next to us ordered a kids power pack from the pool waitress...when she came back with it they seriously acted like such brats because there was only one spoon and "How are we supposed to share a yogurt with one spoon?!!" Their tone was so bratty...like calm down! I can't imagine as a kid ever being able to order from a pool waitress so if I had I'm sure I would have been grateful with whatever I got.
Anyway after this we dipped into the hot tub for a few minutes and it was pretty crowded so when two kids came along they counted how many people were in before they got in because they were afraid to break the posted rules
We were going to go for a swim but the one big pool was closed for awhile so we decided to get dressed and head back to California Adventure. I was taking some pictures of the lobby and we ran into Goofy!!

This map in the lobby was so cool! At night it lights up and some of the rides (like Mickeys Fun Wheel) were in motion. It did not photograph well...

Day three continued *how did we pack so much into one day?
We went back to California Adventure so that we could use our third Fast Pass for Radiator Springs Racers! This is the one super nice thing about being so close to the park from the hotel...we walked to and from a ton this day!
The first thing that happened when we got into the park was we met Goofy again!!! *in a different outfit

We took some time after this to really take in some of the sights. I apologize I have no pictures of Grizzly Peak because we didn't do the water ride or Soarin so we weren't in that area much but its pretty wooded and cool back there. I'm sure I have a video of it somewhere.

We had a little bit more time before our Fast Pass so we relaxed in Carsland and Facetimed everyone at home! We were able to grab a character breakfast reservation while we were sitting there (I made one originally for lunch at Blue Bayou which is in the Pirates Ride but it was super expensive and not a huge menu so we dropped it). We also got to see this DJ car they have out that sings and the workers from Flos dance with it....it was super cool!
Next up...third time on Radiator Springs Racers!

Funny enough we got the same color car almost every time. My sister actually Face Timed me toward the end *we got disconnected earlier* of the ride so I answered and she got to see some of it too
We left California Adventure after this so that we could do some shopping at eat dinner
Oh! I went to about four shops on my way out and finally got a real First Visit pin (we also somehow got lost leaving the park like two times...haha)

We did some pretty good damage at the World of Disney buying some shirts, souvenirs for everyone at home and these cool 60th Anniversary Keys that I would show you but I'm too lazy to dig it out of my Christmas stuff (because I'm using it as an ornament )
We dropped off our goodies and checked in for our reservation at Tortilla Joes!
I was glad we had a reservation because it was packed
Chips and Salsa

I had the nachos without meat

And my mom had cheese enchiladas

This food was so good and nice and hot which was new for us haha. I only wish I was hungrier but I ate too much at lunch.
After this we figured we weren't done running around yet so decided to take the monorail to Disneyland. There was a huge crowd waiting and they kept saying that each monorail will be 25 minutes apart but they came in like five minutes and soon enough we were in Disneyland!
Also look at how funny it is to see just a regular old highway ... no Disney bubble here!

Disneyland was...packed! It was a struggle just to get by the people watching the Jedi Training show.

For some reason, probably because it was so crowded, I can not remember much of this part of the day other than we walked by a bench near matterhorn and two people were sleeping haha
We had wanted to go on Pirates next but it had JUST closed for Fantasmic so we headed over to HM where I got this cool picture as we were stopped on the ride:

I'm ashamed to say we were so tired after this we basically rode the train for an hour...yep...an hour. But it was relaxing and cool to see all the crowds at DL from afar haha
We decided to take a trip around Its a Small World again and while we were waiting Paint the Night started and we got to see some it again.!

Some guy was questioning what the heck this ride was even about...haha duh its about how its a small world...its right in the name!
We wanted to see the Disneyland Forever fireworks after this so we walked around in attempt to get to the castle but because of the parade we had to get creative to get there. We ended up walking right past Fantasmic and were able to see some of that too!
We finally made our way to the castle and snuck under the rope about 10 minutes before the fireworks started.
This is a terrible picture...but its kind of what the castle looks like lit up...hard to get a good picture when the castle itself is tiny haha

The fireworks were really cool and they do projections on the castle, matterhorn and throughout Main Street (the lights change along with the show) so that was super cool! I'm sure I took some videos
We were so exhausted after this so promptly walked back to the hotel and fell asleep

Next up : Last Day

That pizza also looked tasty ... we have not done Via Napoli, so I have no comparison, but it looked good to me!

Meeting Oswald was so cool! I have never seen him at Disney World before! We did get my nephew Max a Mickey onesie Good memory! She actually had her baby like two weeks after we got home *she was a bit early* so it was kind of a close call actually haha. The pizza was very good ....but I highly recommend Via Napoli

Day 4: Last day

We decided we were going to sleep in this day so we "slept in" until like 6:15 and still somehow made it to the park by seven haha
Our first stop was Disneyland since they had Magic Morning Hours

My main goal this morning was to go on Alice in Wonderland since it was the one thing in Fantasyland we missed. My mom was sporting her new shirt from the Disney Store

The cars you sit in are so cute!

This ride is super cute! Its pretty fun too with fun turns and such. After this we intended on going to Indiana Jones but not much of the park is open during Magic Mornings apparently. So instead we walked around the park a little
The partners statue is easily my favorite thing at Disney

We still have a lot of time to kill before breakfast so we headed over to Tomorrowland. Space Mountain was shut down so we went on Buzz Lightyear three times in a row. There was seriously no wait, it was so fun!

I will say we definitely missed the Memory Maker this trip!
We had reservations at the Plaza Inn for breakfast. We checked in and were seated pretty quickly. When we checked in a woman in front of us checked in her whole family and paid $600 for the breakfast without even batting an eye Anyway, turned out they actually prepaid so they had to refund the bill haha. Minnie is the host of the party so she came by pretty quickly

I told Max that my new nephews name was going to be Max

The food was really good

We enjoyed this however I will say it was very chaotic. There were characters everywhere but they were on no obvious rotation so a lot of them never made it to us. There was Captain Hook, Dale, Goofy, Piglet, the Fairy Godmother etc etc. I'm sure if we waited they would have made it to us but we wanted to get moving so we left. It was different from Disney World because there were no waitresses to guide you through the process but we figured it out pretty quickly! I would definitely recommend it
After breakfast we wanted to go to the hotel to pack up so we left DL and popped over to California Adventure to see if we could grab a Fast Pass to Radiator Springs Racers. We were able to grab one )))) SO LUCKYYY !!!!
We hopped on the Toe Mater ride since there was no wait and then walked back to the hotel. On the way I stopped in a store called Disney Vault 28 and I got a really cute shirt You will see it in later pictures because I wore it the rest of the day. I also got an outfit at Build a Bear for my penguin Petey
I'm ashamed I bought this...but it is cute!

Last day continued:
We decided to head back to DL since we had some time before our Radiator Springs Racers Fast Pass.
I did a quick outfit change into the new shirt I got while doing some last minute shopping

Back at DL we spend some time taking in some of the sights

Is this where Walt's apartment is? Above the Firehouse? Does anyone know? So many questions

We decided after this we wanted to try Pirates again since we really enjoyed it. This time we were in line all the way up a hill and in the bright sunshine (Where Tarzan's Tree House is)

They snuck Diamond Anniversary stuff into everything, I found this gem tucked above the POTC sign

I apparently decided to take random shots while in line to entertain myself..

When we finally got in line we were in the front row! Yay! I counted there are two big hills and we got pretty wet but its all good it felt nice!

We walked around the water after this. We wanted to go on the Pirate Ship (which is apparently called Sailing Ship Columbia) but we could not find the entrance and we just missed the Riverboat so we watched instead

I was really into taking random pictures this day apparently so enjoy haha

We picked up a Fast Pass for Indiana Jones and headed out so we could pop over to California Adventure

On the way out we wanted to get a photopass picture because you get one free one in your DL package. He was kind enough to take some with my camera too but honestly didn't seem too thrilled about it

These turned out ok...at least the one he took with his own camera turned out nice haha

Last Day continued :
I look so happy but inside I was so sad to be leaving

We had a little bit of time before our Fast Pass so we sat in Cars Land and relaxed a little bit. I like to sit down in Disney sometimes to just take in the sights and the bustle. It was eventually time for Radiator Springs Racers. The Fast Pass line was super long too actually. I don't know if I could ever wait in Stand-by its so hot in the sun haha

We got the tire part again (3/4 times) instead of the detailing part. We won this time though! 2/4!!
I never thought we would be able to get on Radiator Springs Racers four times....we felt so lucky!
We had our sights set on Ghirardelli after this so we headed over. This is a petty big ice cream shop with no one in it!
Heres me documenting as usual haha

I got the Mint Bliss Sundae (I did better than I did in WDW and ate about 1/3 as opposed to the two bites I took in WDW haha)

My mom got the Sea Salt Carmel

Both were delicious! I just can't eat all that ice cream!
It was almost time for our Indiana Jones FP so we went back to DL! It was SOOOOOOO crowded. It was a Saturday so it makes sense its just interesting because a weekend at WDW is just as busy as a weekday but in Cali its much different (I'm assuming there are more locals)
We fought our way through the crowd and got on Indiana Jones. I never actually saw Indiana Jones but I still really enjoy the ride
After this is was so crowded there was no way we were going to get on another ride so we went to the theatre that shows Steamboat Willie

Its really cute in here...its a bunch of screens showing old Mickey cartoons including Steamboat Willie!
We wanted to get our free 5 x 7 after this so we headed over to the Photopass place to get it. My mom also got what we thought was a 60th Anniversary album but just the other day discovered its just a photo box instead haha oh well
We walked by where we had breakfast this morning so I took a picture

I remembered that we got this coupon thing for a free lanyard and pin so I figured better late than never to get it so we walked to Tomorrowland to pick it up. I was actually so sad I waited to long because it came with a thing you could carry your park tickets in...oh well...

We had to leave after this so got in line for the monorail. It was here that I discovered I also had a coupon for a discount at all the restaurants we ate at haha oh well....

Goodbye Matterhorn

We slowly walked back to our hotel from the monorail station and got our bags. We saw Goofy again and it was so sad saying goodbye to him. We took a cab to the airport and it took like no time to get there so we got to the airport like 3.5 hours early haha
We decided to eat another Mexican meal which was a mistake only because it cost like $75 dollars (sad airport prices)

I had a Margarita

My mom had enchiladas (this is an AWFUL pic)

It was good but def not worth the price. Soon enough (jk after about 20 rounds of Uno) we were on our way to San Jose....a quick 45 minute flight

I just wanted to post a few pics on San Jose in case you wanted to see! We were only here for about a day and a half for the wedding.

We didn't have a car so we walked around the hotel a lot haha its a lot of the same pictures

This was at the wedding. Thats my friend Adnaan and his wife Kulsoom in the back and my friend Sara and I in the front. Sara, Adnaan and I are all Family Medicine residents together here in Buffalo

After the wedding my mom and I went to Red Lobster...neither one of us was pleased but there was nowhere else we could walk haha. My mom eats seafood but I do not. Either way we both ate Mozzarella sticks...they were actually pretty good and the biscuits are good too

We found my friend and his now wife in the lobby!

It was beautiful...I wish we had a car so we could have seen more! We were also very tired from DL so did a lot of sitting around playing UNO in the hotel though.
