Next up Animation Academy. We had a great time in the drawing class the previous year and we were looking forward to doing it again. It makes me sad that this is closed. I really hope they include the class in the expansion plans for Hollywood Studios. It really is a great experience. We drew Elsa last year which was very difficult. This time we drew Buzz Lightyear.

I think we both did a really good job!
Maddie wanted a Mickey Ice Cream Bar and ate that while we walked around enjoying the streets of Hollywood and taking photos.

I wanted to pop into Starbucks to purchase the Hollywood Studios mug and get some ice water. We decided to get a snack to bring with us into the Beauty and the Beast show. I got an almond croissant and Maddie got a butter croissant. We also got two ice waters. We walked over to the show area and they had just started seating so we walked right in.

We enjoyed this show last year and it was great again. I took a ton of photos last year so I only took two this year so I could just sit back and enjoy it. Maddie wanted to go to the pin store across from the theater so we headed over there. She did some pin trading and bought the Earth Day pin. We had been looking for it but hadn't found it so she was happy to finally add that one to her growing collection. We went into all of the shops to check out the merchandise. Maddie told me she wasn't feeling well and she felt like she was going to faint. I decided it was time to head back to the resort, relax and do some swimming. A Pop Century bus was at the stop when we got there so we hopped on that bus and we would just walk over to Art of Animation. When we got back to the resort I went to the Landscapes of Flavor while Maddie headed to the room. I pick her up some mac and cheese for lunch and I got the same turkey sandwich I had on our first day. I also got two bottles of water thinking that maybe Maddie was dehydrated. When I got back to the room Maddie was already sound asleep. I quietly ate my sandwich and then started to pack things we weren't going to need. Maddie woke up from a brief rest and ate her lunch. She drank the whole bottle of water. I wanted to go for a swim but Maddie still wasn't feeling well and she wanted to stay in the air conditioning. I put on my swim suit and grabbed my camera. Before my swim I did a walking tour of Art of Animation. Get ready for photo overload!
I started out in the Little Mermaid Section.

After my tour around the resort. I went for a swim in the cozy cone pool. It was very relaxing and quiet. On my way back to the room and Maddie I picked up dinner. I got the create your own salad and I got Maddie the child's pizza again. Maddie was asleep when I got back to the room. Poor girl was tired out! I took a shower, we both ate dinner and then Maddie took a shower. We watched something on TV and went to bed. Today was 10,012 steps or 4.5 miles.
Next up, last day before heading home...Epcot

Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with your sweet daughter with us!! I only have a son, but I hope to make memories like this with him when I'm older. I definitely remember the times my mom and I would enjoy the parks together while my dad and brothers did their own thing. Looking forward to reading about your last day. :)

Great report! A little tip if you're in the Yacht & Beach Club/Boardwalk areas during your next trip. If you want to head back to your room from those hotels and don't want to walk all the way through Epcot, you can save your self some walking by taking a Friendship boat to Hollywood Studios. That drops you off near the bus stop where you can just catch a bus to your resort from there. Might take a little longer, but your feet will thank you.

Saturday, April 25, 2015 - Spring Break 2015 - Day 8 - Last Day In Disney World

Maddie and I ate breakfast in the room while getting ready for the day. We were feeling sad that today would be our last day but we were looking forward to going to Epcot again. We enjoy this park so much and the Flower and Garden festival added even more fun! We had to wait a while for the bus and during the wait a transportation cast member was asking everyone in line trivia questions primarily about Epcot. Maddie and I knew all the answers. When the bus arrived he told us that next time he was going to have to think of harder questions because he didn't realize he had Disney experts in this line. It was really funny to us because we have only been to Disney one other time, how could we really be experts.
We arrived at Epcot, went through bag check quickly and made our way to Spaceship Earth. I wanted a green tea frap and Maddie wanted a vanilla bean frap from Starbucks so we headed over that way next.

After our Starbucks break we headed over the The Land to ride Living with the Land one more time. We really want to do the behind the seeds tour next time we visit.

We made our way over to the Tomorrowland preview. We really enjoyed the preview. It made us want to see the movie which we did on opening weekend. We really enjoyed the movie.
Next we wanted to head to the World Showcase taking photos along the way of course.

We decided to start out in Mexico this time to shake things up a bit on our last day. Maddie played some kind of drum and she tried on a sombrero.

We just love World Showcase. Especially Japan. These were taken across the lake.

We arrived in China and I really wanted the veggie spring roll from the outdoor kitchen again. Maddie had heard Joe and Ashley from the See Ya Reel Soon YouTube Channel rave about the Strawberry Oolong Tea slushie from Joy of Tea. I sent her over to order that while I waited for my spring roll.
Yum!

Maddie loved this!

In American I stopped in the shop as I wanted to purchase an Alex and Ani bracelet. I had purchased the Walt Disney World one with Cinderella's Castle in DTD a few days prior. This time I wanted to buy the Epcot one. They had it! We got the pulled pork sandwich from The Smokehouse to share and an ice water.

We didn't care for the pulled pork. I like my pulled pork with more sauce so I found this very dry.
I was hoping to see The Voices of Liberty but they were not scheduled yet, so we moved along.

We explored Japan and found something we had never seen before. They have a display area in the back of the pavilion. We spent a long time reading the descriptions and looking around. I was very impressed with this area but more impressed of Maddie's knowledge. Guess all of that Anime watching is paying off!

Maddie wanted to spend the remainder of her souvenir money on Japanese food items. She wanted to do a taste test when we got home. This photo is all of the snacks she bought laid out on our counter. We still have some of these left and they were purchased in April.
