Trip Report *COMPLETED*A 21st, a first timer, stuck on tower of terror and the never ending rain trip report!

Me forcing my dog to take photos before I leave him for two weeks.

So my travelling started a day early on the 7th which was a bank holiday over here in England. We had a few hiccups the days leading up which caused a little bit of stress. First issue we ran into was I had a prescription in the chemist which was closed until Tuesday the day we fly, so I had no chance of picking it up as we leave Monday. I rang multiple chemists open near me to see if they could help until I finally got told to ring the NHS who sent an emergency prescription over to a chemist quite far away. The pharmacist wasn’t very helpful and continuously asking me why I needed to use that service. Because I have nothing better to do on my Friday night sir .

Finally got my prescription and all is good until I pack the last bits of my suitcase and surprise it’s 5KG over! After weighing Reeces he didn’t have much extra space in suitcase but his hand luggage was empty. After chucking some things and filling his bag I was good to go.

So I pick my hand luggage up and the strap snaps off. At this point me and my dad are just staring at it with disbelief, I managed to find the screw that kept it together and we fixed it, so we thought.

Brings us to Monday morning the day we leave for the airport and it’s time to check in and choose seats. We had been monitoring the seats closely for a very long time and they was plenty left, until the last 15 minutes. EVERY single row was full with no seats together!! We were flying with Virgin Atlantic and noticed they was one row in the upstairs bubble had became free! Previously someone had booked one seat in the middle of three obviously in hope to have a row to themselves but for some reason all three seats were now available.

Not wanting to take chances we booked the two seats and paid for them. We ended up having nobody sat next to us either!

At this point I’m hoping, praying in fact nothing else goes wrong like flight delay or anything. Slowly 2pm rolled around and we departed for Manchester Airport, no traffic and everything was plain sailing. The terminal 2 long stay car park was full so we ended up booking terminal 3 and praying the awful reviews were wrong. We managed to get on the shuttle bus (managed being key word, he tried to go past us), he blazed around the corner at a ridiculous speed all the suitcases were falling and he wouldn’t stop to let people put them in the storage racks.

Finally we got to our stop and I pick up my bag and boom the handle snaps off again. It’s 27 degrees (about 80F) now I know this doesn’t sound that hot but I promise you 27 in England feels ten times hotter than 27 in Orlando. The heat was ridiculous and we had a 15 minute walk to our hotel pulling the suitcases and carrying a broken bag. We had plans to go walk the pub and watch planes but we ended up staying in the room with air conditioning full blast and ordered a dominos :banghead:

We stayed in the Crowne Plaza (no photos I was too annoyed with the world) it was fine, clean and done the job. We could see planes land from our room.

As the night goes on my throat becomes raw and my nose is sniffy, in a panic I overdosed on vitamins and prayed it was allergies.

It wasn’t.

Ooo yay!! We may have crossed paths!
I think we went on the under the sea ride right around when you did on your birthday beaded on what you wrote and then we sat outside watching fireworks right near BOG while you were eating dinner (not a great view and it poured after :/)

I couldn't help but chuckle at the story with the young child thinking you were the Mom. The same thing happened to me at a local museum. It was hilarious! He was hanging onto my arm and reaching around my waist. I made eye contact with his Mom who was literally bent over laughing - tears and all. She kept calling his name and finally he heard her voice. He looked at her for a good 10 seconds completely confused to see his Mom over there when he was holding onto her. When it finally clicked he looked at me with such horror in his face LOL. At that point, everyone was laughing except the little boy who ran back to his Mom and hid his face :)

And I'm extremely sorry to hear about your dog!! I've experienced that a few times and currently dreading the day when it happens to my little 12 year old dog - who happens to be my doggie soulmate. The silence they leave behind is deafening.

Hahahha that’s so funny! It’s happened to me a few times but it’s a situation I didn’t want to be like hey kid what are you doing but I also didn’t want to look like I wanted a random child attached to me .

Thank you so much. It’s the worst feeling I’ve had it once before but we got Max not long after so the house wasn’t as silent. This time we aren’t getting another dog, my parents don’t want to feel the pain again and I’m not ready to love another dog :(.

I came down to my mum out his bed together and a little electric candle with his collar and lead and his bowl filled with digestive biscuits (his favourite treat) and all photos of me with him and some flowers and his football. I’ve been a blubbering mess all day. Give your doggy a belly rub from me, it was Max’s favourite

Oh I'm so sorry about your sweet doggo  It's so unfair that pets don't live as long as humans. Losing them is SO HARD!

Thank you so very much, it’s the cruelest. They’re such a big part of your life. One minute he was happy playing with his ball and his normal self and so quickly deteriorated. Least I know I done the right thing and didn’t let him get to a stage he lost all dignity and was in too much pain.

I'm so sorry about your dog

Love the trip report!! I just got back from England and I can attest that I thought it would look like the UK Pavilion :hilarious:

Still loved it but it does not look like that haha! Maybe the Cotswolds? But we didn't venture there

Which part of the UK did you visit? Like Laura I am also from the UK I would love to know where you experienced vs the Epcot pavilion.

SO sorry about your dog. Animals are a major piece of our heart and my cat makes me laugh every day. We are lucky they share their whole lives with us but it's heartbreaking when they leave us.

Day 11 maybe? I think I’ve got my day countdown mixed up earlier in this post!!

I don’t have much to show for this day. We decided to have a lazy morning because we had a big day for my birthday. We woke up around 8.30am and decided to take a chance and get to typhoon lagoon and pray the storms stay away. We just missed our bus to Disney Springs to transfer so we ended up ubering it as we had some money left to get rid of on our gift card.

We got there just after opening and got a good lounger. I mentioned (I think) earlier in the report how the Disney water messes with my eyes so was hesitant to go in the water.

For my birthday my mum got me a pair of Tiffany and Co sunglasses which is risky because I’m terrible at looking after my sunnies. I brought plenty of cheap ones from Primark with me which I planned to bring the water park but I forgot :banghead:. Wasn’t in the wave pool for 2 minutes before I was sent flying underwater and of course I bobbed up with no sunglasses:cry:.

Reece managed to see them swimming past and thankfully they had no marks on or any missing stones! I ran out the water before the next wave came .

We got about 3 hours before the park shut due to a thunderstorm. I didn’t mind because my eyes were red raw with the water and I’m just not a general water park fan.

We got back the resort and had a nap before getting ready and heading to Disney Springs.

The storm truly came down, by the time we got to Disney Springs it was very heavy. I had one of my more dressy outfits on and didn’t want to ruin it with a poncho (judge me) so Reece ran off and bought us both umberellas which I preferred in general. I still use it now.

I can’t rememer for the life of me where we ate, can you tell I’m not a foodie. We mainly just done shopping, I’d managed to go the two weeks with spending hardly any money. I didn’t want to exchange it back to pound coins because the exchange rate was rubbish, so off to Sephora I bobbed.

I still hadn’t picked my birthday present off Reece, so I decided to have a look in pandora. They had a rose necklace I really liked but they only had it in yellow gold or silver, we left empty handed .

I seen an advertisement for s’mores and had to try them so off we went to the Ganachery. I enjoyed it but found it rather sickly! Maybe because I was so full.

After a good window shop and taking in the beautiful scenes it was time to call it a night, I love Disney Springs in the evening!

First things first we were starving so headed to pizzafari (I think??)

I have dreams of the garlic bread from Disney. The breadsticks are everything I’ve ever wanted:inlove:.

With our tummy’s full we decided to go for a walk around the trails as we hadn’t done that yet. It was raining so I don’t have any photos except this one of a lazy gorilla!

Next up we decided to go to Rafikis planet watch. Reece was very upset the goats didn’t want his attention.

These donkeys just walked around in a perfect circle constantly .

It was time to go as they were closing, we still had some time to kill before our final Safari FP so we window shopped. These t shirts made me giggle.

I should be wearing the last one all the time, woops:facepalm:.

We sat down and I had a chocolate strawberry, my favourite and Reece had his giant Mickey cookie which was always his snack of choice.

We still had a little while longer for our FP, we we checked the wait time for Everest and it was a walk on! It had been raining a lot so the park had emptied.

Only took him 12 days to realise he needs change of shoes for the unpredictable weather.

I’m sure we went on a few more times because it was our last day but I don’t have any more photos!

It was finally time for our FP on the safari which I was excited for as it was getting dark. It was a lovely safari and all the animals were out to play. We didn’t take many photos because couldn’t use flash, the pandora lights had came on and was shining through the trees and it looked beautiful, I couldn’t get a photo

It doesn’t look dark on the photos but it was!
This was our final attraction in AK and it was a lovely one. We didn’t stay till closing we were both so tired and had a full day tomorrow.

We headed for one final walk around pandora just as it was starting to light up.

Day 13; last full day

I woke up feeling sad that it was our last day because we had such a lovely time but all good things must come to an end... right?

We decided to spend the morning in Epcot and the night in MK to see Happily Ever After.

First up, soarin!
7FB715C1-E80B-4266-BF89-E0CA2648C4D2.jpeg

We headed to living with the land as we hadn’t done it and Reece loved it! We had some older ladies behind us and they were amazed! Oohing and ahhhing every minute :joyfull:

We also headed to see figment, jeez no wonder it was a walk on! It was actually painful but I still find figment really cute.

Anyone that knows me will know I despise anything that flies. Including butterflies, I do not find them cute or pretty! Once I walked through a bat cave and a wing of one touched me and it actually made me cry. It’s the fact you can’t see anything and feel them flying around you. Shuddering at the memory.

Reece however wanted to go in the butterfly tent. I decided to put my big girl pants on and went in. It wasn’t as bad as I expected and no butterflies dived at me. Reece was adamant a butterfly would want to sit on him, however a bumble bee decided to sit on him instead :hilarious:. He wasn’t impressed.

I don’t mind bee’s much because typically they leave you alone and I know they don’t want to hurt me, unlike wasps which are demonic. We actually saved a dying bumble bee a few days before by the pool!

After the bee flew off a butterfly finally came and rested on him. He thinks he’s David Attenborough now.

We headed back the resort and found this ugly thing waiting for us
01DF9352-53FE-4230-BA61-BC51537C0BEF.jpeg

No thank you! I do not want to look at that right now.

We got ready for our final trip to magic kingdom and I felt sick with sadness (is that even a thing?).

Going from memory we headed to it’s a small world as that was our first ride on our first day I wanted to go on one last time. We had fast passes for Splash and Thunder so we headed over, it was already getting dark!

Talk about being cut off :hilarious:. We had to start making our way to Main Street to find a spot for HEA. I was really starting to get that sickly feeling knowing the day was ending!

Photography isn’t my strong point, its a waste of time trying to take photos of fireworks for me :joyfull:. It’s such a beautiful show and I think I cried a bit harder than usual knowing it was the end of the trip.

We had one final fastpass for Space mountain. We was hoping to make it afterwards for a final ride on Winnie the Pooh!

The ride felt super fast! More so than usual but we went on a different track!
We rushed out but the park was already closed so no final ride with Pooh bear for us. We may have done more before the fireworks but my memory is blurry.
