Coming across people on forum sites or in the parks

A couple of years ago while dining at AKL my husband pointed to a guy and wondered if it was someone from the boards. When we got home I sent him a message and lo and behold, it was Fizzle.
The Fiz and his wife and I have been in contact for the last couple of years via the site and the wonder that is Facebook, and are hoping at some point to be in the World at the same time so we can finally meet up face to face. :ROFLOL:

I know Matt through FB, too! :D

I just wish he would post on here, too.

Did you ever meet anyone that you do not have the same views with? Then start a heated debate over which is better, Test Track or WoM? Horizons vs Mission Space.

Not that you should start random acts of violence at a theme park but it would make for a funny trip report. "On day 2 I was involved in a brawl with forum member ,X, under SSE because I thought the touch screens were a great idea and he did not."

I did meet somone from another site while in WDW.

Then a number of months later I got a call out of the blue from him. His family had decided to buy into BLT and was at the sales office. He knew I owned DVC and wanted to know if he could drop my name so we both could get the referral bonus. That was a nice suprise.

Not exactly a random act of violence, but I did meet someone from Magic at Disney who asked me to tell his wife she smelled bad. :lookaroun

I've met a bunch of folks from here at WDW as well as other places. I've always had a great time with them! I even went to dinner with 2 who had very opposing views of things that were non Disney, from me and we got along fabulously. Well, I thought so anyway

In December we were seated at a table at the Biergarten with a couple who mentioned that they had been upgraded from ASMovies to the Beach Club. When we got home, I read a post from a couple who had had the same upgrade. I PM'd her, and sure enough, it was the same couple.

I've had quite a few people come up to me in the parks who recognized me from here, other boards, or Flickr. I've also received messages after trips asking whether I was in X park on Y day.

For the Buzz Aldrin parade in October, Sarah and I couldn't find any viewing spots, and some lady who recognized us stopped us and told that we could sit in front of her (thanks again!).
