Expansions in Japan are in preparation for something I mentioned in my latest post.

Very interesting. That's a strategic place for an E-ticket I suppose. It's pretty much at the back of the park, so everyone has to pass at least half the shops in World Showcase to get there.

I'm referring to this post in another thread:

- A very prominant imagineer is heading up a new E-Ticket ride for the World Showcase. The ride concept is simply awesome and I'll share some very, very vague nuggets with you in my next post. If this one is approved, it won't be open for at least the next 4 years though, so don't get too excited just yet.

That's what I missed. Put the words E-ticket and World Showcase together and I guess I get a little crazy. :hammer: Thanks for clearing that up. (This is more proof that I should not be posting on the Internet after 10 PM!) I look forward to hearing more about this show, and learning where the rumored E-ticket is really going.

I know this have been discussed before, but there are 2 pavilions in World showcase that are ride ready. They already have all the necessary infrastructure in place. I mean, they already have ride control rooms with necessary audio and lighting controls, but right now they are just being used for BGM and Illuminations. All they need is the ride system, and the room and buildings are there also, so no need to build a new building. Those pavilions are Germany and Japan.

No doubt in Germany for that Rhine River ride, because that is the one I know that was definitley going to become a ride, but then Disney ran out of $.

Regarding the two (kinda) ready locations...

I'm not sure which one I'd rather have... the Rhine River or Mount Fuji.
Of course, if you put in the Japan ride, that'd at least keep world showcase from permanently tipping to the east. Think about it... all of your "rides" would be in roughly the same side of WS. Kind of the old Future world problem of everyone making a mad-dash toward MS and TT, leaving the Seas, Imagination, and Land completely empty prior to Soarin' and Nemo.

No disrespect to any other martial artist out there...but if Disney is going to include martial themes into WS they should go into China...considering the fact that most martial arts stem from Kung Fu at some point in there history. I know it's a communist country and we (the US) have better relations and are more translucent with japanese culture than chinese it still deserves to be located in china instead of japan unless it is directly related to Karate (which was introduced to the japanese by the chinese long ago...) IMO.

Excellent post! Plus, there is so much more to Asian culture than just sushi and the martial arts. I just hope they don't build a Fuji coaster...the real Fuji-san is such a beautiful mountain that has a rich historical significance. I think a Fuji coaster would cheaper it. That would be like making a Geisha or samurai version of IASW IMO.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, a Nemo roll and maybe a Crush tempura roll....Ooooo, Dori tataki, I'll have one of those.

That restaurant area needed more space, so its good they are adding on. I had often wanted to stop by for some sushi there, and it was crowded to capacity and then some. The waiting area for the teppenyaki was too small too. Once that place reopens, I bet it will look fantastic AND have enough seating for snackers and diners alike.

It will be one of my reservations in 2008 when I go in July.

I'd take Germany. Although I'm not against thrill rides in the least, another mountain coaster just doesn't seem necessary to me. Plus, Germany is one of the least identifiable and/or developed pavilions and could really use something of interest.
