I have a few friends that are face characters over at the parks and they post a lot of pictures of themselves and others in character form. Are they allowed to be posting those pictures? I've always wondered. Granted, they're not doing anything bad in the pictures. I was just curious because I know Universal is pretty strict about their scareactors taking pictures of themselves.

i have known two face characters that have been fired for doing this

even if they post it and not say it's them. it's prety easy to figure out and it can be traced.

People post pictures of themselves in costume here on this site too, and of course I've seen tons on MySpace. I always was surprised that there didn't seem to be a rule against doing so.

I've never seen any on here, but my friends are all face characters so you can obviously tell who they are. Then again, their profiles are private so the only way you can see the pictures is by them adding you as a friend.

I don't really see anything wrong with it unless they're doing something inappropriate in the pictures.

Personally I love seeing people I actually know in character! lol

Pictures backstage in any form are not allowed and I'm assuming they aren't taking this on stage with their heads off.

As far as face characters, I think if it's people's jobs then they should be allowed to put pictures of themselves up in a private online album. It IS them, after all.

So far, from what I can tell, all my friends have been taking pictures while on stage. Most of them are before park hours though so some of the pictures are of Ron Stoppable goofing around with The Robinsons and Alice hangin' out with the princesses.

As long as the pictures do not destroy the magic I dont have a problem with it, but if something was posted in bad taste then I could see Disney Mngt frowning on that.

The only thing I can think of that I have definitely seen that might ruin the magic a bit are people who post pictures of them as multiple princesses, and actually say "this is me as belle... this is me as jasmine" etc.

Sure, people can get fired for that... but also people can get fired for a lot of things that are said on here... so...

As far as I'm aware, posting your identity can get you into trouble, including being fired. Also, that's unethical, too. Kids (and some adults) know the characters as 'Mickey' and 'Goofy' not Bill from Iowa or Jane from Kansas.

Word.

It ruins the magic many times to publically post things such as that. Who am I to blame them though I guess? I'd be severely jazzed if I were given the chance to be a character too. But going as far as saying that it's you who "plays so and so"... I dunno, I wouldn't say so publically in fear that it really would ruin a kids' dreams.

I have friends who are characters though. The majority of them though never really like directly saying it's them.

Seriously, whoever thought of the phrase "I'm friends with *insert character name*" is my hero(ine).

Well yeah, none of my friends post captions or anything saying "this is me as _______". I mean, yeah, when its just me and him/her and we're talking about something that happened that day then they'll be like, "today I was Kim Possible and _______". But thats it.

Even if they did post captions like that under their pictures I wouldn't even care. Because they only people they'll add who can actually see the pictures are people they personally know. So its not like it'd be a huge shock to any of us or ruin anything for any of us.

the only weird thing for me was meeting Mulan this year. My dgf is Chinese and i've been learning both Cantonese and Mandarin (her family speaks both, long story). She was very nice to meet but the magic meter went down a small notch when she didn't understand me speaking in Mandarin (i think the official language of Epcot China as even CMs from Hong Kong spoke Mandarin throughout the park).

Still fun and I got some great pics w/ her!

As far as posting work photos, I say why not? I bet it would help to increase the desire for employment at the parks. Who wouldn't want to be a face?

As long as the photos are in good taste that is

Even non character CMs get fired for taking pictures backstage, that's why I'm scared to post some pictures people have taken of me even though I'm only standing in a ticket booth.

is it inside the ticket booth?....or from the outside like through the glass or something? cause i think those would be ok to put up if its through the glass or something like that

why would you expect her to speak mandarin to begin with? just because shes "Mulan"
