That happened to us last November. (Prior to the parking fee fiasco of 2018).We asked for a room close to parking, which it would have been if the lot had not had quite a bit of parking closed for a group coming in at the end of the week. We stayed at All Star Sports and each night when we came back to the hotel it felt like I was parking at Pop Century....then walking to our room. We complained but no one seemed to care😒. At least our days at the parks were awesome.😁

I'm confused. What service did they not provide? I saw nothing in any of these posts about no parking spaces being available.
I’m just assuming they made him park somewhere off premise. Without knowing th detail, I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt.

If you think I’m against parking fees, I think they should have started charging long ago. I also think they should double park ticket prices and charge resort fees. Let’s get these insane crowds under control. My wallet is ready. Lord.

The image shows a sign stating All Star Sports & Music parking lots are closed 4/15 for a special event and if you don’t move your car it’s subject to removal.

There were parking lots closed at each of Sports and Music, that doesn't mean ALL lots were closed at each. I suspect the large lot between the two resorts was closed, leaving the smaller lot North of All Star Sports and the larger lot South of Music available to guests.

I could be wrong, they might have closed them all, but I doubt it.

The parking fee is a Disney disaster. Parking fees are for motels with limited space-most of Disney resorts have wide open parking lots with mostly empty spaces. Just a money grab.

Disney's new parking policy---- If you do not pay the parking fee while staying at the overpriced resort or you do not move your car (for special events) from the space you paid; your car will be booted. Upcharge of $99.99 will charged to have boot removed. (sarcasm-- for those who think I am serious)

The sign did not say all lots at the resort are closed and you need to find a place to park at some other resort but that one specific lot was closed. It's been a while since I last visited that resort but when I look at a satellite map of the total resort, I see at least 10 different lots surrounding the property. All that means is that you need to chose a different lot section at the resort to park your car. Again, how does that amount to not providing the service?

I think if you're paying $13/day for value resort parking, you shouldn't drive up to find the lot nearest your room CLOSED.

So are they not allowed to maintain the lots either? This just reads like complaining for the sake of it.

Expecting there to be absolutely nothing else ever going on at a huge resort like that while you're visiting is totally unrealistic. They didn't prevent anyone from parking at the resort, they just made one of at least 10 lots unavailable for parking. Demanding the parking fee be refunded is an unrealistic expectation and unwarranted in my mind. But I guess some feel more entitled than I do.

When you charge for something, yes, people have expectations.

Maybe I missed it, but when did a parking lot maintenance become a "special event"?
