BUMP!!!

I'm still wondering if any of you out there know what the traditional "lag time" is between previews and openings to general public.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!!!
Considering that Disney has publicly announced that the ride officially opens late October, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I would be shocked if you don't get to ride it at some point during your trip.

In other news, large-scale CM Testing begins Thursday, September 28th.

What do you think the chances are I could get on it during the preview without an annual pass or a timeshare?
Are they really strict on checking that stuff? or can you just get lucky

yay!! I'm so freaking excited about that!!

It all starts this thursday!!

Cast Pin Event at MGM and then Cast food and wine preview!! and finally to end off the great month, the preview for finding nemo! *bounces*

I avoid CM previews because the queue often extends well past an hour and a half.

It's a better idea to trickle in during soft previews...

Maybe often, but not always! I rode Expedition Everest 7 times in a row no wait whatsoever the first day of Cast Previews. Came back the Saturday of Cast Previews, now THAT was a completely different story... like you said at least a 90-minute wait.

Wow. Really? All day or what? Can guests come along?
Strictly Cast Members- It's for a few hours on Thursday evening, and you get paid to do it. A ton of these shifts popped up on the Extra Hours Hotline, and they were (obviously) gone very fast. I would have done it, but it falls on the same night as our big annual Africa Operations Cast party so I (unfortunately) had to pass up the opportunity to be a test dummy for the new Nemo ride!

Wow, sounds cool

I guess the ride has really come a long way since I saw it in the beginning of August.
It is a really cool experience, I would recommend all CM's and AP's to go visit right as it opens.
The new technologies are pretty amazing.

Will be there Oct 12 - 17 -- any DVC or CM's looking for two other people to join you during previews?

Anyone think there will be any soft openings on Oct 15 or 16?

Sometimes it's not really riding - it's more mundane things like loading procedures. Or just walking through preshow areas - why? Because they can make CMs they're paying do that over and over..

Pretend to be a party of 5, 4, 6, 7, 3, 2, 2, 5, 3, 6, etc.. and then just walk down the belt and get back in the line until they feel they have the timing and spacing right to paint the little yellow line on the floor for safety ;)
