Ooh...that may be a fun thing to include at the end of the cumulative thread, or a tab in our eventual website...all the concepts that didn't make it into the park...and how the park evolved.

Kinda like actual Disney retrospectives that show off the concept art images of never realized Disney attractions/areas.

That might be fun! I was just looking through the stack and our park has gone through a ton of changes -- it'd be fun to chronicle them!
What's the top picture? I can't find anywhere online.

Was doing some research for our Space Mountain attraction -- apparently Voyager 1 which NASA sent out a long time ago into deep space, contains a record of music to represent earth for alien civilizations who might find it.

I was wondering to mix it up in the queue, as much as I like the Star Tunnel and 3rd tunnel music, in one section of the queue, to just have Voyager's golden record playing as if it was found by an alien civilization.

So @D Hindley @MonorailRed @mickeyfan5534 and everyone -- does anyone have suggestions for "streetmosphere" or interactive elements to add to the lands?:bookworm:
Specifically for Pacific Wharf, my first thought is to do something similar to DHS' Citizens of Hollywood (which I've not seen in person), or Knott's "live theater" Ghost Town Live. In Pacific Wharf this would be like Cops & Robbers - Characters from each persuasion roam the streets and try to "recruit" guests. Occasionally they'll run into each other and have minor skirmishes - nothing too extreme, it's Disney!

Additionally, spilling out of Chinatown is a Chinese New Year Parade, complete with the classic giant dragon (a line of men under a puppet) plus amazing Chinese acrobats and musicians. Maybe this specifically happens a few times a day like the Newsies singers who ride DCA's Red Car Trolley.

A thought for the west side's watercraft:

Not to directly copy the Mexican Xochimilco boats, but to use something like them (low-slung, high-capacity compared to canoes, more relaxing, more visually exciting). Plus they can carry performers! Fill one boat with musicians who then travel all three lands (AL, FL, PW), playing music which somehow (?!) fits every location. Thoughts?

I like it! I think this would work very well especially utilizing the water that surrounds the land with the boats.

Figment really likes this idea especially if you guys are going for a more realistic version of tomorrowland. Great find space!

This a very cool find! Perhaps it could be the post-ride exit music instead, especially if this Space Mountain is somewhat inspired overall by Voyager - aliens finding the music is the resolution. Think it just works better tonally as an outro.

Figment really likes this idea! She's says shes seen the citizens of hollywood and loves to see them preform. having cops and robbers or something like that would really add character to the area.

the new year parade is a great addition to. she loves the whole thing!

Thanks to Pigment! Seriously, hope you're getting better - it's seems maybe you are :).

Somewhat OT, I really enjoyed your resort idea in the One Sentence Competition. I would love to book a stay there!

Great idea! The post show especially since this one is also outside the train brim, you'll probably have to walk through a moving path to re-enter tomorrowland and go under the traintracks. So having this playing as you exit would be a cool easter egg for sure!

She says thanks for the well wishes. The doctors think theres something wrong with her inner ear so maybe she'll be getting out of the hospital soon. Figment says she's glad you liked it and thanks for the great ride idea it was based off. it was so easy to add on to an already great premise. the hotel is something she may want to develop on later.
