It would be really funny if the 3 heads on the wall of the Country Bears Down Under were voiced by famous Australian actors. Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth...Rebel Wilson![]()
We need Rebel Wilson in this park...

Cate Blanchett is Australian, and she's such a gifted chameleon she could play every single role in the park:It would be really funny if the 3 heads on the wall of the Country Bears Down Under were voiced by famous Australian actors. Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth...Rebel Wilson![]()
I was going to say that... your new avatar!Cate Blanchett is Australian, and she's such a gifted chameleon she could play every single role in the park:

Of course, I'm all in favor of bringing in the Kiwi actors, like the Flight of the Conchords guys, or naturally my avatar and role model Taika Waititi!
I don't think you would lose Splash. In California, Splash has a Classical feel to the music but in the Magic Kingdom it has a Country feel to blend in with Frontierland. Meaning Splash Mountain has adapted to its environment before.I'd advise against making an Australian Critter Country. I already had plans for a whole Australian backwoods/adventure based land for the second park (since Australia is considered a continent) and I think a Rescuers D or E ticket would be perfect there. If we make Critter Country Australian, we are really limiting ourselves because there are few IPs that work with it (one actually) and we can't go realistic with it either (which we could in the other park). Going the Australian Critter Country route would also axe splash, and that is literally the defining attraction of any theme park project on here or theme park in general that exists.
But I don't think the Critter Country should be Australian based, especially when there will be another Australian based land. Frontierland still fits with splash's southern theme. Australia doesn't. It can have a bit of an influence, but if you make it what you guys are saying it is, it isn't Critter Country anymore.I don't think you would lose Splash. The source material can be the same but at the same time I could see expanding the Splash Mountain lore...Brer Kangaroo...stuff like that and giving a different vibe to the music. Plus look at this in the Australian outback... looks kinda like Splash

In addition the Rescuers Down Under seems just too perfect to leave out of an Australian based Critter Country. I think you can still have a realistic Australia Outback in the 2nd park, but Rescuers being fantasy would fit more in the Magic Kingdom. Then you could have a full blown Kilamonjaro Safari type ride through the Outback or something in the other land!
Australia is as "south" as you can getBut I don't think the Critter Country should be Australian based, especially when there will be another Australian based land. What wasn't cohesive about what we had before? We had plenty of ideas and they all worked. We just stopped talking about it because we got busy. All of the ideas worked and matched, what with Splash, Country Bears, Banjo Kazooie Treehouse, the brer racers ride.Australia is as "south" as you can get
If we can come up with a cohesive form of Critter Country that isn't Australian than go for it...but I wouldn't throw it off the table right away considering that it's the most cohesive form of Critter Country we've come up with.
@DlpPhantom had also suggested an addition to Critter Country with a Bayou area as well. What wasn't cohesive about what we had before? We had plenty of ideas and they all worked. An Australian version of Critter Country is intriguing. It'd fit with The Rescuers Down Under perfectly.Agreed
I'll agree with Space on that one...
I think it'd be a lot.... Though I do like the idea of including an Australian themed attraction....
Random idea..... What if we just made an Australian Version of Critter Country?Fitting attractions that go with the animals and all....
It make some sense.... We could do the Rescuer's Ride.... Maybe a different take on Splash to make it unique... A Cool custom country bears.... It'd be a good transition from Adventureland to Frontierland as well.... and It represents the country's wildlife in a Disney way.... Thoughts?![]()
Since we are in Australia it might be better to cater to Australians and not make a park that would make more sense for Americans. The ideas for Critter Country were good, but Rescuers fits here and many other different rides which is good for diversity. What wasn't cohesive about what we had before? That's fair. I'll wait for you guys to present more ideas before I start criticizing. I apologize for being so dismissive.@Brer Oswald all I'm trying to say is I don't like outright dismissing ideas before they even hit the drawing board. Red seems passionate about it and that's always a good thing.
Why not have several options for Critter Country...and then pick the best one to fit the story of Sydney Disneyland?...whichever idea isn't picked for this park is used for the 2nd park. So in the end everything is used.
And even if there are two Australian inspired lands...I don't see the harm in that. Jungle Cruise is a fantasy version of Kilamonjaro Safari. Future World is a more realistic Tomorrowland, Animation Courtyard is a smaller version of Fantasyland...the countries of China/Japan are in Epcot and Asia is in Animal Kingdom....I could go onMy point is we can still have a realistic outback land in the 2nd park with all of these ideas still in play.
Figment thinks this is a great idea. There are plenty of animals and folktales to look at. Emus, kukabarra, echidnas, koalas, kangaroos, wombat, there's so much we can use. She says that Brer Oswald has a real talent for creating characters that would fit into splash mountain.I don't think you would lose Splash. Tell her thank you. I guess it's about time I challenged my creativity anyways.Figment thinks this is a great idea. There are plenty of animals and folktales to look at. I'd still like to keep the Banjo Kazooie tree, I think it would still fit well.
If you're so against this, just tell me through text instead of a meme.
