He should be the next SSE narrator after the Judi Dench version runs it's course. Just sayin'.

I just watched an episode of Craig Ferguson with Morgan Freeman as the guest. Geoff (Craig's robot skeleton sidekick) does a great impression of Freeman. But Morgan Freeman is just mind blowing. o_O

Shawshank! The breakout scenes, the warden getting his comeuppance, the music, and the final scene with Andy seeing Red, smiling, they embrace as the camera fades away. . . Can't change the channel whenever it's on.

the music,
^This. Most people know Shawshank for it's story & feel-good ending. But the musical score certainly deserves recognition. To me, it has one of the best epic score moments of any film. It's when Andy finally reaches freedom. (From 3:00 until 3:47 in this video)

This should be my alarm music every day when I get up. That way I'd always feel epic no matter what type of day it is.

The score was my favorite part of the movie, and made the movie to me!

Then again, I love musical scores!

The broken minor chords...chills...I'm shivering right now with the tension it brings. As much as I love John Williams, Newman is truly the master of melding that creepy music into an overarching theme...

So, I'll post a happier song by the similar artist who was great at melding theme (Horner...one of my favorite composers)

They better do that soon cause the man looks to me to not be aging well. OK, for his age, but he is getting right up there close to meet your maker time. Then he has to explain what he thought he was doing acting like he was God.

Green Mile the movie just seemed to go on forever.

I liked Shawshank a lot better. And it has some great quotes like "New Fish, New Fish" to "Andy Dufresne - who crawled through a river of and came out clean on the other side." or "Lord! It's a miracle! Man up and vanished like a fart in the wind!"

One of my favorites:
"I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don't want to know."

Such a great quote about something beautiful. But it sure is funny when taken outta context.
