Does anyone know if Cinderellas castle suite in the MK can be booked for an evening?
I haven't heard much about it since they were suprising guests with a pass during the Year(s) of a Million Dreams....

It is not available to the general public. Pretty much if you are not a celebrity or one of the kids in the make a wish foundation you will not be staying in the castle suite.

According to the rules of the Million Dreams or whatever contest, it is worth $587 a night. I don't think they will ever "rent" it to any paying customers..... ever.

Wow, $587 a night is a steal for that place. I'd book it for a month at a time :sohappy:

a little trivia, the suite is actually in the room reservation system so CMs can check if it's empty or not -- its listed as part of the Contemporary.

Next time I book the contemporary I'm going to cross my fingers for a 'system error' which accidentally upgrades me to the castle

If I may say, I picked up my AAA Going Places magazine, and a page describes a sweepstakes contest (Party Like a Princess ) in which AAA members that enter online may win certain WDW prizes, which one of them includes a night in the Cinderella Castle! :eek:Sounds promising, but since there are so many AAA members, I doubt even entering a certainly huge amount of times will guarantee someone the overnight Castle Suite.
Here's the website: http://www.aaasouth.com/contests/disney_celebration.aspx
Interestingly, it doesn't seem to mention anything about the castle stay....
On the plus side, there's this AAA Celebration Planner that's really cool :)
Speaking of sweepstakes, does anyone know whatever happen to that Space Mountain contest for Passholders that gives the chance of winning an actual sigh from there? I believed it was nothing more than a gimmick to see how many Passholders respond....

I know we are in a new celebration now but they should keep that asspect of YOMD and still pick someone daily to sleep in the suit.

Starz (cable movie network) is sponsoring a contest:

That's right, when you watch East High's favorite seniors on Starz On Demand between June 12 and July 12, 2009, you'll have a chance to win a Disney Celebration Vacation. You and 3 guests could win:

  • 3 nights/4 days at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida (includes airfare)
  • Includes a one-night stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite
  • Four (4) Magic Your Way Tickets with Park Hopper® Option
  • $1,000 spending money
Plus, 100 first place winners will receive HSM3: Senior Year gift packs ($50 value).

Edit - The normal way of entering is by watching the HSM3 trailer on OnDemand and answering a question online. There's a mail-in option in the rules.

The number was put there simply foe tax purposes. (every prize has to have a value so Uncle Sam can get his cut) If they were to actually rent that room to guests I could not imagine it going for less that $5000-$10,000 per night.

Thanks for the contest links! I've been searching for them online. When I was in WDW in May I asked at City Hall what the plans were for the castle suite, and they said currently only various contest winners could stay. When I asked what contests existed, nobody knew. So I'm excited to have a few to enter now.

It frustrates me to no end that the suite, for the most part, sits there without being used. I know some celebrities have stayed there, but there's so many nights that nobody stays there. I agree that after YOMD ended, they still should pick people to stay in the castle. It's just a waste otherwise.
