Cinderella's Royal Table: Is it worth it?

Hi everyone!

I'm thinking of going down to Disney this March to celebrate my 35th Birthday in style. I am in the planning stages and wanted to ask about something many of you may have already experienced and can give honest, first hand opinions, thoughts, and advice.

I'm thinking of having a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table. Like many before me, i have been intrigued by this resturant located inside the famous castle at WDW.

My questions are these:

When you dined there, what was it like for you? What was the experience..talk me through it if you could.

How would you rate the food, both in quantity, taste, and pricing?

Is it a strictly "Princess" character affair or do other 'friends" stop by?

Is it absolutely mandatory to reserve in advance? I ask as i tried a walk in during a slow time and was still denied entry.

Thanks for all the great feedback so far everyone...really appreciate hearing both sides of the issue here!

I get the feeling that i have missed what was once a really nice place to eat. From previous posts, i get the feeling CRT was a resturant more for the adults which seems wonderful considering the lovely setting. It sounds like what i imagined...stately, proper, and a bit of indulgence for the grown up crowd.

Reading the news about the upcoming changes dissapoints me somewhat. Now i get the impression that they have decided to cater to the "families" and the kiddies demands to dine with the extremely popular "Disney Princess" line. Dare i say it sounds like they are "cheapening" the experience but raising the price. I would rather have it be the other way around. It's a shame to hear about the changes in the DDP too..wow, now its 2 credits!

I think i may decide to pass....but i'm still thinking about it.

I'm still wanting to hear more from all of you about your experinces at Cindy's Place! Please continue. i find it interesting reading! :)

You would be correct. Adults with well behaved kids. It was one of the places on my list of places to propose. I must say that the pretzel bread was to die for. I also enjoyed my Bippity Boppity Brew!

Yes, you may dare! We went with the DDP, great deal at the time, but your meals are better spent elsewhere now.

We are going back the first week of May and we HAD planned to do CRT for breakfast as we had done 2 years ago. But I am having a hard time justifying the $100 for breakfast for my family of 4:lookaroun

……especially as we have already seen inside the castle once before. My family is not huge into the character aspect of the Disney experience as much as they are the setting. Don’t get me wrong it is beautiful inside the castle and its ‘cool’ to see a portion of the park that is hidden from normal viewing. So if you have never done it you should try to at some point. But I think this time out we are going to ‘pass’ and meet up with Cinderella over at 1900 Park Fare. For some reason I can accept a 100 for dinner a LOT easier than I can for breakfast:wave:

We did the Castle last year and really enjoyed it. I wasn't able to get a character meal(last minute res.), but got PS for dinner. I loved being in the castle and the food was on par with all the other restaurants in Disney. However, as I was told(over and over again) when I made the PS, it wouldn't be a character meal. I was suprised when Cinderella showed up while we waited for our table(6:00pm). She took pictures with everyone waiting for a table. After we enjoyed our dinner, Cinderella was still there taking pictures with those waiting for tables, close to an hour later. This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip, my dad with Cinderella sitting on the throne:king:

Also, if you get the "Bippity Boppity Brew', you get a collectible glass mug when you leave the restaurant.
This is the only reference
I can find on all of the google-verse to "Bippity Boppity Brew". When I went in 2014 they no longer had it and I'm dying to know what the recipe was! Can anyone help?
