Cinderellabration, a new stage show at the Magic Kingdom® Park, will soft open March 13, 2005 on the Castle Forecourt Stage and officially debuts during the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" press event in May 2005.

As a result of the new show and props, Cinderella's Surprise Celebration will be placed on hiatus beginning Feb. 26, 2005, and is scheduled to return after the 18-month celebration

I read about CSC going down for a few months yesterday. But wasn't it posted on this board several months ago that Cinderellabration was a night time show? I maybe incorrect, and it may be modified for WDW. Just a little sad to see CSC go down for so long... :(

I wonder if they are going to do Cinderellabration during the day too. I would think they'd want to do something on the stage during the day and have meet and greets.

From my understanding it is only a nighttime show. But that would be neat if they did a meet and greet before the show. or even after.

Please don't get me wrong, but I don't really understand why Cinderella's Surprise Celebration stoping for a while is such a bad thing? I really don't understand it since it's being replaced by such an AWESOME show as Cinderellabration. While I habor no hopes that we will get the complete show from Tokyo Disneyland, Lights of Romance, what we should get will have the same basic presentation. Wonderful music, wonderful costumes, many old friends on stage as a part of the show and a magical fairytale ending to the classic Cinderella story. This show was a hit at Tokyo Disneyland, a park known for it's entertainment offerings, for a reason! And it's being brought to the Magic Kingdom as a part of the 50th celebration for a reason! It's a damn good castle show!

I hope that we do get at least a part of the Lights of Romance, but even if we don't, I doubt that any guests, or any of us for that matter, will walk away unhappy.

Of course, on the other hand, Magic Kingdom entertainment could completely muck up the show we saw in Tokyo. And that would make me angry! :lookaroun

I feel so sad that it is going down because that was the show that I watched all of the time during my CP. I met my best friends while working at that show. That's the only reason. I'm excited to see the new show, just sad to see the old one go...

I now understand! And from you're point of view, I'd be a little sad too. We all have our Disney touch stones, be they Alien Encounter, The Land, or Cinderella's Surprise Celebration, mine was the Main Street Electrical Parade, it is always sad to see a conection go. :)

Latest Rumor from Entertainment has this show running during the day as well as in the evenings (maybe).

It would cost a boatload to run both shows. 2 tech crews, 2 casts, etc, etc etc

Anyone know if they ran it in daylight in Tokyo? With all its lighting effects surely it will loose a lot during the day? Looks like a pretty big makeover of the Castle Stage - if they intend to duplicate the lifts.

Sorry hon, from what I have been told that the show will be on hiatas (as in not showing) from feb. 29 till the cinderellabration ends.

I wonder if they'll just do big meet and greets during the day and different times instead of a show. This way they will save money for more money to go to Cinderellabration.

reread what he just said. He just said they will not have CSC at the same time because it would cost to much to have both of the shows.

Well he said they would run Cinderellabration during the day, how could you do that if it was only intent for it to be a night show??

Think about this logically.

If the show only ran at night, how would Spectromagic and Wishes also be shown?

The Hub is already a mess in between Spectro and Wishes, I could not imagine a "1 time showing" of Cinderellabration thrown in the mix would make this situation any better (although I am not sure it could get worse).

From what I have heard from someone that works in Entertainment (and worked in Tokyo last year) the show is being changed slightly, so it can be shown during the day too.

Thats sorta what i was trying to say.

CSC goes byebye for 18 months. (No More gifts of Friendship!) Cindybration replaces it. Wont be just at night - will be during the day as well. ("We do things differently here than in Tokyo") Stage will be reworked and there wont be a castle show for a month(?) or so.

I would imagine once the cast are out of the rehearsal rooms they will run the show a number of times when the park is closed - meaning some late nights and early mornings for cast and crew.
