Huge show :D Great projections and awesome score. But I don't like the screen in front of the Castle balcony. Will it stay during the day or just for the show?

There does seem to be rigging in place to allow for this.

The show looks INCREDIBLE! I can't use a big enough word to describe it, but, it is AWESOME! To all who were doubting and complaining about it before it even started, THIS is why you wait to make comments on something new that Disney does. Sure, they've had some blunders and mis-steps in the past, but they've also had some BIG HITS too, like this. So, hats off to TDO, they knocked this one out of the park, and the use of this technology will surely lead to some much bigger and better shows in the future.

It's going to be amazing. I had such EXTREMELY low expectations - which makes it all the more awesome. I definitely teared up. Had they skipped that debacle of a press conference in September and just announced it last night along with the display - it could have saved us all a lot of complaining!

I would like to know that too has anyone been recently that could tell us if the screen only appears before the show, or if it sits there all day?

Well, to be fair, the preview video they gave us made it look pretty terrible.

Eh...doesn't do much for me. I didn't think the soundtrack was a very catchy tune. The technology looks great but I'm still not sold on a movie projection on the castle.
Maybe it will be better in person.

Doesn't DLP already use this type of projection technology on their castle?

Someone stop me!!! I'm trying to keep myself from watching the video, and instead just waiting this weekend to see it live! I'm so excited, and to see mention of Walt's being at the end makes me want to watch it now!

Muuuuuust nooooooot waaaatch

Just got home from the first public showing of the new show and I have to say that this was very impressive! Favorite part was either the rocket or the fireworks at the end and how they are projected to look like they are coming in front of the castle (Hard to explain until you see it yourself).

That's good news about the screen over the balcony being hidden during the day. Does anyone know if they retract the screen after the show is completed and before Wishes?

The screen is actually a painted scrim to look exactly like the area it covers. For those of you that don't know what a scrim is, one is used in the HM stretching room as the "ceiling" and you see through it when the lights on the other side of it turn on. They also use them in the graveyard scene. Black scrims are hung between the ride path and the animatronics to give them more of a hazy appearance.
