Honestly...whenever I hear it...I think of Maria...because I can picture me going down to Mexico and meeting up with her...drinking margaritas, listening to a mariachi band...

hence the ewwww......I'm not a fan of the Dixie chicks....but censorship is something I am stauchly against...and if people can't say what they believe without fear of persecution (or fear of being called unpatriotic) well then I'll have to make sure we're living in America....

Concert is THURSDAY NIGHT! WOOOOOO! Puddle of Mudd is opening. :) Good times.

Now, as far as "censorship", the Dixie Chicks were NEVER told not to say anything, I totally agree that free speech is our most treasured right. HOWEVER, people also must understand that when they exercise that right, there will be others who will do it in retalliation if they don't agree. It's all a big, beautiful circle of . :lol: If you wanna put on the big girl pants and say your opinion, then say it and be prepared to weather the storm. (And actually, they were about his song "Angry American" as well. Big talk coming from women who wrote a song about murdering an abusive husband... not that there's anything wrong with THAT :lookaroun :animwink: )

Totally agree...I guess I'm focusing my anger on poor toby keith when in reality I should be upset with millions who burned their dixie chicks cds....when I heard that I was like....WHAT!?.....I was amazed that people HATED someone to that point because they had a different view of things.....

Ignorance is bliss......and wisdom insanity...
