I am planning on purposing to my girlfriend this Christmas season at Disney World. She loves DW and its her favorite around Christmas time. So for my Christmas gift she is taking me, since I have never been around Christmas. And I plan to surprise her with proposing to her, which is what she has always wanted. She’s told me she wants it to be at either Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or MGM(Hollywood studios) So if anyone could give me any proposal ideas for Disney World around Christmas time, it’d be greatly appreciated. Since I’ve never been during Christmas, and I want to to be special, and holiday festive.

do you want peace and quiet or a crowd around? If you want peace then any place off the beaten path would be cool, if you want a crowd around the ask cast members to recomend something.. I would love to be proposed to (again) in front of Cindrellas castle when the do the lights show for the night.. usually about 7:30 ish.

I think the key is to be creative. As wonderful and magical as getting proposed to in front of the castle is, it's very unoriginal. It happens all the time. Does she have a favorite ride? Character? Resort? Restaurant? That might help narrow it down a little into getting something special created.

If she's expecting one of these places, you should throw a curveball and plan it somewhere else. Keep her on her toes! Maybe go to the beach at the Polynesian to watch Wishes and ask her during the grand finale?

Osborne Family Lights - Christmas-y, Disney and not a usual spot.
I had an idea that my fiance would propose to me on our last trip but was clueless to where at. He waited until the 4th day of the trip because he knew I'd be expecting it on the first day. He was right. I had totally written off the idea by day 4.

I saw it mentioned that being proposed to at the castle is overdone? It's not overdone, it's classic. I was proposed to at the castle during the fireworks and it was the most romantic moment of my life. If she's a true disney princess at heart (like me) I don't see any place better than right below those twinkling Christmas lights

Unless you have contacted the Disney event people or made special arrangements at one of the restaurants, my suggestion is to be ready to improvise. My husband had plans to propose in front of my parents at our home but I threw a wrench into the works and he had to scramble. He gave my my ring in the car while we were speeding down the interstate. We've been married 27 years and he still hasn't actually asked me to marry him. Again, totally my fault.
Do you and she have a special place at Disney? a special ride? a thing you do every trip ie. get a Dole Whip or see a special show? Anyone of those places will become extra special after you propose.
I don't think in front of the castle is overdone either. My cousin proposed during the fireworks while we watched from the Plaza Rose Garden. However you do it will be memorable.
I can show you the exact spot on the Kennedy Expressway where Bob gave me my engagement ring.

I would try to work in her favorite attraction or character. She'd probably appreciate you remembering her favorite when planning the proposal.
