Christmas parade for TV

Does anyone know when they tape the parade for TV? We will be there Dec 1 threw the 7th,didnt know if they might tape that early.

it's taped the first week of december... not sure about what day yet.

They should be taping it while you are there. We usually go the first week of December and almost always see them taping it. It is really funny that the taped Christmas parade is nothing like the Christmas parade they do for the guests.

It was taped on on the 7th last year, a Saturday. If they're going to do it on a Saturday again this year, it would be the 6th.

I've seen them filming family segments the week of Thanksgiving. The DCL segment was filmed in October last year. My little brother was in it.

they bring in floats usually from other WDW parades and add cast to it... example, in the WDW one, Mickey rides in a horse drawn carriage with Minnie... in last years televised one, he rode in the Share a Dream Come True Snowglobe

Threre are actually quite a few differences. Some of the things that show well on TV don't look so good from a crwod vantage point and vice-versa. The WDW Christmas parade for the "guests" has more floats with lights and sounds. THe TV Parade is a lot more cast member intensive. There are more people involved dressed in costumes like horses and elves. Ant eh Christmas parade that they run during MVMCP is NOTHING like the parade they run on TV. It is totally different.

Last year, I was at the first MVMCP, and watched the first parade. They were taping it for tv, too... They were standing at Town Square, in front of the christmas tree, and I was there too. I was really mad, because the camera guy kept crossing in front of everyone without any notice, and ruined most of my pictures... I came back to Brazil the following day, and I don't know when I will be able to go to that party again...:fork:
