Christmas Packing

Question for anyone recently returning from WDW - I'm headed down on Christmas Eve and am seeing highs in the mid 60's. I know that can feel chilly with the FL humidity. How has it been - do I need sweatshirts all day or only in evenings or do I need to plan heavier wear than this for evening? Guidance appreciated . . . .

Being in Tennessee, I'd say you should plan on long sleeves with a possible light wrap during the day and then jacket/sweater/sweatshirt during the evening. :D

We are leaving Saturday and returning next Thursday. We are packed with shorts/capris, tees, at least 1 pair of long pants, long sleeve shirts, light jacket. We are flying down from PA and we know it's cold here (30's) so getting into 70s is going to be great for us.

Don't count the weather forecast too much right now. Last week it said was suppose to be rainy every day and 50-60s. Now it's saying sunny and high 70s-low 80s

That's what I was thinking. Its in the 30s here and 60s sounds like flip flop weather to me! I have had my christmas night/plane clothes planned forever!! I wanted to wear my Mickey Christmas PJs:xmas:, with my minnie christmas ears, flip flops, and EPCOT jacket. But my mom said no to the pajama pants (i think she'd be embarrased) so it looks like I'll be wearing jeans or sweatpants. I can't wait!!

Thanks everyone! I will leave my heavy coat at home :) I spent my last Christmas Eve there with a beach towel as a scarf - it was 32 during Spectromagic. So I guess I'm a little leary about not taking enough heavy clothes. LOL :ROFLOL:

We just returned from our Thanksgiving week trip. I wore a sweatshirt everyday/night. In fact, the night we went to MVMCP we ended up buying blankets. In fact, I saw many people buying blankets. The temps were in the 60-70 degree range but it became VERY chilly when evening hit. Before we left, forecasts predicted mid 70's. Only saw that a day or two. Hope you enjoy your trip. All I can say is that I would have enjoyed my trip more if it was warmer. We packed shorts, capris, jeans, sweats, you name it. I never did get the shorts out.............

We were there over Thanksgiving and I have to tell you - it was colder there then it had been in 50 years. Life long veterans have said they have not experienced those temps. I'm originally from MI and moved to HHI two years ago. So I should be used to cooler temps but I'm not - being in the warmer weather, I guess i've lost that - and am not used to cooler temps. The DH and I had on jeans and shirts - and we were FREEZING! I had done the same - packed according to average temps b/c two years ago, i was there at Christmas and packed long sleeve tops and jeans and was so hot, it was unbearable! Pack to the norms but make sure to bring a coat/sweater/sweatshirt just in case the temps have not picked back up. I know in HHI, it is still colder then usual - so i'm assuming that FL is the same. The stores were selling out of their mittens, hats and scarves - along with their coats and sweatshirts. I bought three scraved there and 1 pair of mittens!!!!

I just got back last night and am trying to catch up on al the posts. But I wanted to share this with you The first 2 days we wore shorts and t-shirts all day and night. It rained like mad on Thursday and then it got cold. We wore pants, long sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirts (fleece ones) for the next 3 days. We weren't cold, but if we didn't pack sweatshirts and pants, we would have froze.
