I'm planning a trip dec 09 over christmas. Told my wife and daughter (18) we are staying at Pop Century but we are transfering to Grand Floridian on Christmas Eve. Getting a christmas tree from Disney Florist. But here is my problem what can I get my wife and daughter that is not to big but would be a great gift christmas morning? Just a note we are driving.:veryconfu

Since you are planning so far ahead I say buy some jewlery (think nice rings, earings, bracelets, necklaces). That way, they will be wearing the gifts and there is no extra packing involved. If you start now it may not stress your budget too much!

My DH and I got stockings this past year - with our names on it and filled with treats. I ordered them through disneyflorist.com and they were so cute!! Also, you could purchase a GF mother and daughter spa treatment - especially since you will be right there! Have fun! What a fun Christmas this will be!! :xmas:

Oh, I thought of another thing. The DH and I get each other new pjs each year that we open on Christmas Eve. This year, b/c we were at Disney over Thanksgiving, we got each other new pjs from WDW. Just another suggestion!

You can reserve a private photo session at the Grand Floridian. As a mom, that would be something I would enjoy. Especially with all the Christmas scenery. You could get some great family pictures.

You sneaky devil :ROFLOL:

I did a very similar thing this last Christmas - told them I'd booked POFQ and AKL. We started at AKL on Dec 25th and transferred to GF on Dec 30th

Gifts - what about a dressing gown from the GF gift shop ? Nice memory/souvenir from the trip

HI! Some girls/women love bags, when we were there they had higher end bags at the Deluxe resort shops. They were in a Coach style. For my money I'd rather have a nice bag with a Mickey head on it, than a really expensive bag without one. Just a suggestion. They were really nice with real leather trim, and classy (with Mickey heads):).

I'd like the bag idea but not for a  gift. If someone wants me personally to  it better be a real coach.

I like the spa idea. I got my mom a mani pedi two years ago for christmas and she loved it. I also like the jewlery idea. What about some nice disney jewlery to remember the trip?

What about doing something with their favorite disney things? The past two years i've gotten my mom a disney gift card so she can get wine and dessert as she watches illuminations which is always on her must do list.

Have a great time planning. We went down Christmas day this year and it was extremely magical. Make sure you pack extra patience!
