I have started this thread before and received no answers.
Does anyone out there know if there is a character meal with the villians now that they changed 1900 park fare to Pooh? The villians are my favorite part of Disney and I'm starting to plan meals. Any help will be greatly appreciated. :) Thanks!!

I dont believe that there is a character meal that includes any villian's. I would love to see a breakfast in that nature with a nice dark setting, evil eyes, almost haunted and scary!!!! I think that would be so cool! Nice idea and I will definetly e-mail disney on that!

Nope. The plug got pulled on that Character meal quite some time ago. Every place else now has the same things as character meals--either some derivation of Minnie/Mickey & Pals or Pooh & Pals. Only variation is the nearly impossible to get into Princess breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table, and the Mary Poppins/Alice/Mad Hatter breakfast at 1900 Park Faire.

It would be nice if the did something else. Villains would be interesting, but I'm guessing that it didn't draw since families with smaller kids tend to do character meals and most small kids are kind of scared or intimidated by the villains.

It kind of amazes me that they haven't done something with more recent face characters--not that many of the recent movies had successes to capitalize on (Kida, Milo, Kuzco? Don't think so). But you'd think that maybe an Aladdin themed one (which could include Jafar) or a Hercules one or at least one with more current princesses might be fun, different, and not the same ol' guys to meet & greet.

For a while, they had an Aladdin one over at MGM. I don't know how old I was, but I remember it being big, and there was a place you could go rub the lamp, I loved it!!

That would be so cool.....it could be set in a dark forest or in a cave or something...i suppose if they ever actually build a villian based ride we could expect a restaurant (or at least a shop) to pop up then....

the reason behind GF going to Pooh is simple...

The management at 1900 PF had been trying to get Pooh there for a while, and after a few complaints due to the villains as well as numerous requests for Pooh, MK abliged and once the Wilderness Lodge Meal was cancelled, 1900 PF got Pooh

last year...we were told by CMs at 1900 Park Faire that the Villains breakfast was cancelled for lack of interest...the lack of interest was attributed directly to small children being afraid to eat with the Villains...and a demand for friendlier characters by parents with traumatized kids.

...sounds logical to me but I couldn't tell you if the CMs knew what they were talking about or not.

One of the problems with WDW is the small child factor. No matter how many times parents are warned not to take their little children into Alien Encounter, they do it anyway. I've seen infants taken into shows with VERY LOUD sound systems. Some parents are just selfish or so stupid to the point that they will jeopardize their children's welfare for the sake of an amusement. It's not the fault of the Disney company. They provide adequate warnings and great information about all the attractions. Perhaps Disney could have PG ratings for the attractions. They might then be able to have a real villians breakfast, lunch or dinner with a PG rating of 13 (i.e. no children under that age would be allowed). I think it would be great! How about you?

I agree, soooo many parents disregard the signs like "eh its disney my kid'll be fine.. and i wanna go on it." Incredibly selfish. They should have Age requirements for rides and attractions, only I'm afraid it may spoil some ten year olds trip. I remember how awful it felt not to be tall enough to go on SM and ToT. I guess they wont do it to keep up their "family" park reputation.

It was called the Soundstage Restaurant and they had a buffet character breakfast. Last time I went was about six years ago, and yes, it was awesome! That building is now where the Playhouse Disney show goes on. Also, a wonderful show! I have a pic of my little sister rubbing the lamp! Also, they had lots of cool characters there. I remember Meeko, Belle, Beast, Genie, Clopin, Quasimodo, Pheobus, Esmerellda, Jasmine. I'm sure there were others, but it was a great meal!!!

I agree to an extent. It would be great if they had ratings (or maybe fear ratings) that said something to the effect of: "Dark ride. May be scary for some young children" or "Very loud show. May frieghten very small children". They might have this on the park maps or something. But, they cannot make people keep their little kids out. They can't for instance have a character meal where children under 13 would not be allowed in. This would go against their family park ideals, as well as create big problems for people with multiple kids of varying ages. Many, many people would complain. Also, all kids are different. Some may be afraid of some things while others are not bothered by them at all. Actually, this is purely a parental issue. I do agree that some parents are stupid and/or selfish, though. Smart parents do their research ahead of time, and know which rides/shows they will skip and which they will baby switch at.

Thanks for all of the replies I received. I think a Villians character meal near Fantasmic! would be ideal. It would go with the whole dinner Fantasmic! package. It may not appeal to small children, but most of us "kids at heart" woukd enjoy it. Wish Disney would consider it. Thanks again all!!
