It’s no coincidence that tonight’s game is taking place during the final night of the annual EPCOT Food and Wine Festival!

To celebrate, all of tonight’s prompts (dishes) will be based on EPCOT.

Appetizer Round:

Players, for your first course, you are tasked with pitching a new dining experience to accompany ANY existing EPCOT pavilion. This includes all four neighborhoods!

Your submissions should be 5-10 sentences long and may include a maximum of two images.

You will have 45 minutes to complete this challenge. And your time starts….

NOW!!

The Mile High Lounge: A Brand New Immersive Bar for Epcot's Soarin'
soarin-gallery07.jpg

Take to the skies of Soarin' like never before!

Have you ever wandered what it would be like to take in all the sights, sounds, and smells of Disney's iconic Soarin' attraction from the top of the theater without having to ride it? Did those sick fantasies include a couple adult beverages and a bevy of snack food?

Well then, you've come to the right place. Opening in the summer of 2026 is The Mile High Lounge, a series of small bars located on the top story of The Land pavilion.

The bars will be placed into the top back end of each of Soarin's three theaters and give guests a literal birds eye view of the attraction as the soundtrack...and more importantly, the SMELLS of the attraction get pumped in as you take in the view and the drinks from a large double sided glass panel that's obscured from guests view.

The lounges will be themed to super sleek modern Mile High Club VIP lounges in airports, with plush leather seating, phone chargers, and a highly stocked alcohol supply to make some of the most unique cocktails in all of Epcot. A Mustachio'd Patrick Warburton will make an appearance on the lounge's TV monitors (which overlook the bar opposite the view out into the attraction) giving guests a warm welcome and continuing his fan favorite presence as a self insert "character" within the Disney parks.

ThemeParkPriest presents...Islander Treat Shack

Moana draws her fans and foodies to the Islander Treat Shack, which is located outside of the Journey of Water.

ChickenRice.jpg

The main dish is Jerk Chicken with Beans and Rice. This island-seasoned chicken provides a delicious savory small plate as it is served next to dirty rice and red kidney beans.

For dessert,
Sweet Coconut Bread is modeled after the Samoan sweetbread Fa’apapa. The bread is served with a dusting of powdered sugar and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Pineapple.jpg

To help the food go down, Pineapple Parfait is modeled after the Samoan drink Vaifala. This pineapple drink is flavored with a touch of coconut cream and sugar. It pairs well with the Jerk Chicken but is also refreshing as a stand-alone.

Nice work, Priest!

Now I’m thirsty! 🤣

Coming soon to the Japan Pavilion…
シェフのヌードルボウル
(Shefu’s Noodlebowl)

IMG_0947.jpeg

Shefu’s Noodlebowl is a new reservation reserved restaurant coming soon to the Japan Pavilion, representing a popular Japanese dish that currently isn’t represented yet, that being Ramen! This addition is one to sure to delight all fans of both ramen & Japan.

Guests with reservations enter the restaurant through what is currently the Japanese Castle showbuilding that was supposed to house a copy of the now defunct Meet The World from Tokyo Disneyland (The picture above), now to eat a tasty bowl of ramen. Inside the restaurant, it used many long hallways with bar seating between two stories to keep capacity leveled. The walls of the restaurant that aren’t occupied with the bar seating show beautiful Japanese art depicting the history of the country.

(This is what the bar seating looks like, close to what select Ichiran locations look like.)

The menu obviously consists of ramen (You don’t wanna scam the customers), but like other ramen restaurants, you can customize what toppings you want on your ramen. Various toppings include mushrooms, scallions, seaweed, pork, & a hard boiled egg. Drinks are also on the menus as well, such as Water & Japanese sodas.

Overall, Shefu’s Noodlebowl is truly a delightful place, & finally completes the Japan Pavilion’s food selection: Sushi, Meat, & Ramen. I hope you enjoyed your meal.

Tegan’s Take:

@TheOriginalTiki - a VIP lounge on the upper floor of The Land pavilion feels like something that could have existed when EPCOT first opened, and that is something I truly love about this idea. Seeing an attraction from a different perspective is always intriguing, and I think this would quickly become a popular favorite among diehard fans! Well done!

@ThemeParkPriest - I really appreciate the level of detail you put into the dishes themselves. A snack stand feels like the ideal complement to Journey of Water, and that pineapple drink could easily become the “Dole whip” of EPCOT. Great job!

@Lizzy May Bee - This is a truly lovely concept! I could see this place becoming big on Instagram with guests taking time to find all the little hidden details in the decor. And Japanese food is always going to be a hit with me! Nicely done!

@Half/CartoonHalf/Human - Ramen is definitely becoming more and more popular by the day, so a ramen restaurant seems like an ideal fit in the Japan pavilion for sure! Good job!

Chefs, you have not made this easy on me! 😭😭

Chili's
Space's Take
@TheOriginalTiki - with the push for more VIP elements to the parks - this is definately one that would be popular for most adults and 'new' adults who grew up with Soarin' in the mid-2000s. A great blend of concepts in a pavilion that doesn't get enough love at Epcot

@ThemeParkPriest - Islander Treat Shack is a nice escape for those along the Journey of Water - like how much you focused on the items that the Shack would have, it would have been nice to add in a bit more of the vibe and how it fits with the surrounding area, but really nice job

@Lizzy May Bee - A great concept for the Japan Pavilion and like the original artwork with it as well. I think like Tegan said this would become the next 'Instagram' spot for Epcot for sure.

@Half/CartoonHalf/Human - A ramen restaurant is a great option for the Japan pavilion, and I do like how you can customize the options. It would make it nice to return multiple times to the restaurant.
