Restaurant Design (Interior & Exterior)
Story Design (Theme and Land tie-in)
Visuals

Of course we all help eachother with suggestions. I just figured a little structure was better until we find our groove as a team. Let me know what you'd be interested in.

I would prefer Restaurant Design, as I'm sure you can guess from my previous comment.

From just looking at that space, the soundstage looks like the best available place to me.

Perfect, run with it!

I'd like to draw a detailed floor plan as one of our images. With you being gone on Sunday, I'll assume most of the design will be done by then, which will give me Sunday to work on the floor plan, based on the design.

I know what I'm doing Friday!!! Alright, so I'm gonna need wall color, wall art, focal piece of each room (how many?), lights (!), floor covering, ceiling design, table shape (at least), chairs, and waiter uniform (?). What am I missing... anyway, can you give me a general color scheme, or is that up to me? I'm definitely feeling gold leafing coming on here...

(I feel all interior designery!!)

I'm not really sure what to do on the outside yet though.
Oh yeah, and a general gist of story would be nice for me to work off of. I'm not getting home til 7EST tomorrow, so don't feel too rushed. :)

Maybe we can do 3 rooms:

Pixar Classics (Toy Story 1 and 2, Bug's Life, Monsters and Nemo decor)

New Pixar Movies (Cars, Ratatouille, Up, Incredibles, and Toy Story 3 decor)

Pixar Short Films (Knick Knack, Boundin', etc.)

Each room can maybe have animation cells from the movies on the wall?

Absolutely yes! I was figuring that in. You know what would be really awesome? If we could do little clips of famous scenes and such from the movies on the walls.

I like this as well. The cells and the 'themed' menu are going to be key.

So, obviously the restaurant theme is Pixar. I'm trying to think of a storyline, and I think something like this would be cool:

The Pixar Place Finer Living Club (which consists of Hamm, PT Flea, Mack, The Abominable Snowman, Mustafa, Construction Foreman Tom, THe Underminer, and the ever present School Of Fish) were not pleased with the "tackiness" that was brought upon their beloved Pixar Place when Toy Story Mania opened up. So this group all pitched in to create Luxo's, a high-in elegant restaurant suitable only for Pixar Place's finest. The group are the current proprietors of the restaurant, and business is booming. Their group picture can be seen in the restaurant lobby, and a plaque outside states that Luxo's Restaurant is a donation to Pixar Place from The Pixar Place Finer Living Club.

Bonus points goes to whoever is first to say what each of the characters in the Club have in common.

We should probably have a nice bar area too. I'd be no help on colors at this hour. :)

Don't worry, no way we're changing the idea.

I'm also going to be logging off soon and not back til late tomorrow. If we can get some basics on the story tonight/tomorrow, circusole' and the design team can get designing. For those that haven't popped in yet, feel free to pick a role and start imagineering!

I'm definitely thinking that the bar area should be lit by a Luxo. I'm trying to think about T.V. designs, but I can't think of anything right now that wouldn't be extremely cheesy. Don't worry though, it'll come to me while I'm trying to sleep.

Obviously. The TV's could just all be flat screens but not just any flat screens, Buy N' Large flat screens. I'm thinking that almost everything should tie in to the movies. There should be a fish tank with all the Finding Nemo fish in it (maybe even a stingray or sea turtle) and a special table that you can sit at for extra money reserved for Edna Mode. It's just little things in the restaurant that will make it so awesome.

I just had an idea to include an ant farm. :lol: Maybe there can be a glass box filled with rats too. :lol:
