Children's Programs vs Kids Night Out

Being a single mom, I'd like to get out once or twice on my own to hit PI, do some shopping, etc., but I obviously can't do that with a 5 year old in tow.

Which kids clubs would you recommend?
Has anyone used the babysitting services of Kids Night Out? And if so, would you recommend them?
Which is the best value?
(We will be staying at POR.)

Much thanks -- I could really, really use a night out! :D

We have taken our 5 year old to the Neverland Club at the Poly twice and she loved it. It costs $11 per hour. I am not sure how early it opens up, I want to say 5:00 PM, but you will need to pick up your child before midnight. We have used kids night out before but the kids are pretty much stuck in the room so we like to use the Neverland club because the cost is around the same and our daughter had a much better time.

We used the Sandcastle Club at the Beach Club resort in October 2005. Our DD (who was 7 at the time) had a great time. They had movies, video games, arts & crafts projects, and lots of toys to play with. DD became best buddies with a couple of other little girls.

The cost was $15/hour- the hours are 4pm until midnight. We felt good leaving her at the WDW Kids Clubs- they have a good security checkin/checkout policy, and gave us a pager so we could be contacted if there was a problem.
