Hello,
I have a 2 year old child w/developmental delays. We are recieving therapies three times a week for speech, ot, and pt. Right now, he has labeled w/develpmental delays b/c I can not be seen by children's hospital until august.
No one will give an official dignosis until then, but our group of therapists and other people with early intervention are leaning toward the autism spectrum, sensory deficit disorder, apraxia or possible developmental delays. I have heard all of these as possible diagnosis. He is very apprehensive around large crowds or crowds in general. He is going through a huge fear stage, at times fearing familly members he is used to seeing. He doesn't like to sit still. Here is the thing, I believe most two year olds are like this, fearing people or crowds and don't sit still. Would I look like a jerk if I asked for a GAC card? Just trying to bounce ideas off of you guys before we go.
